After breakfast, Mary hailed a carriage for the both of you to go into town. Andrew was scared to let you go on your own, with only Mary, but he let you go anyway. Andrew went with his father to a men's shop to get their suits, and then for a nice shave. Mary got in the carriage before you and the coachman asked where to.

"To town please, we have some shopping to do."

"Have you been invited to the Luna Mar ball, Misses?"

"Yes, we have and we need to get a makeover!"

"Well, I hope you ladies have fun doing that, heeyah!"

With that, the carriage started to make its' way into town. The horses pulling it were black stallions matching the black carriage on the outside. The seats of the carriage were of velvet and a single rose was on each side on the door. I rolled the window to the coachman up and then turned to Mary.

"So, do you have any ideas of what you want to wear tonight?"

"Hmmm, I would love to wear a green dress with a beautiful black lace hemming, but father wouldn't approve. I do love him, and I feel bad for throwing hot tea in his face, but I feel like tonight i should make him happy. So, I am thinking maybe a long ball gown with white and gold, what about you?"

"I don't know, actually. I think when I see it I will know. What about the masks?"

"I will probably get one that matches the dress, what are you going to do with your hair?"

"...honestly, I am clueless of what to do."

"I thought so, don't worry about it. The ladies will know what to do, they always do."

Mary gave me an assuring smile, and I actually felt a bit better. It was maybe a couple of minutes of silence before Mary spoke up again.

"Hey, (y/n)?"

"Yes?"

"Do you think Andrew is going to propose to you?"

"Wha- I mean, I don't think so... we are just really close friends..."

"Really? Cause father told me he walked in on you two kissing... is that true?"

"I... don't want to talk about it."

"Hmmmph... fine."

The rest of the ride was silent. When we got into town, Mary brought me to 'La Belle Marri' . This place was one of the most expensive shops in town, or so I was told by Mary. While we looked at the dresses, more women came in, but Mary talked to me about more gossip.

"Hey, Mary? Have you found a dress you liked yet?"

"I think I have just found it!"

"Really? Can I see it?"

"Of course, come here!"

I ushed over to Mary and she pointed to a magnificent ball gown fit for a princess, just who Mary was. It had ruffles of gold and white, a bow of gold around the waist, and the main color was a pattern of gold and cream
