After Idol: The Sequel (Daniel Seavey)

Moving to LA

It was a week after Daniel auditioned for this boy band and he was waiting for a response from the manager. Him and Payton were both in the studio hanging out and making some beats until he finally got a phone call. 

"Hi is this Daniel Seavey?" A guy asks. "Yea this is." Daniel says. "Hi Daniel. I work with the managment with the band you auditioned for." The other guy on the phone says and Daniel puts the phone on speaker so Payton could hear. "What's up?" Daniel asks smiling. "I'm calling to let you know that you and 4 other young boys have been selected to sing together." The guy delivers the news and Payton smiles and squeals. "That's amazing  thanks so much." Daniel smiles and looks at Payton. "The other boys are Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Jack Avery and Zach Herron. You guys are gonna be flown out to LA and live together in Beverly Hills." The guy adds in and Payton's smile fades away.  "Oh. How soon is the move?" Daniel asks. "You're scheduled to fly out September 3rd." He says. "Okay that's great. What about school?" Daniel asks. "You are able to take it online while you're away"." The guy answers. "Okay no problem. Thanks for your call." Daniel smiles. "No problem. We'll send you your boarding pass shortly." The guys says and they hang up the phone.

"Danny, this is amazing!" Payton stands up and smiles. "Really? I didn't expect to leave in two weeks." Daniel looks up at her. "Daniel, it's your dream to make music. You can go on tour and make albums and have fun at the same time with these boys." Payton sits next to him. "What about you?" Daniel looks at Payton. "I'll keep singing too baby. You'll be in Beverly Hills and maybe I'll find an apartment back in Dallas." Payton says. "But that's too far away." Daniel scoffs and looks at her. "Where else is there?" Payton chuckles. "Why don't you find a place in LA? You'll only be 30 minutes from me." Daniel suggests. "You and your crazy ideas again." Payton laughs. "How about it though?" Daniel smiles. "I mean I guess with the money from my dad, I'm sure I can move in LA." Payton sits down. "It's just gonna take a while. You'll for sure settle in way before me." Payton says. "Don't worry, I'll help out. We can look online at some places together and then once we are both in California, I can take you to check them out." Daniel tells Payton. "You're the best." Payton smiles and kisses Daniel. "I'm really proud of you Danny." Payton looks in his eyes. "It seems like yesterday, we were both 15 on American Idol and you had you're little high pitch voice." Payton smiles. "Oh my gosh." Daniel laughs. "Yea I was shy when I first met you." Daniel looks at her. "It's just amazing what we've gone through. That DP, making music together now we are gonna go our separate ways with music but its a good thing." Daniel says. "Plus, maybe you'll get signed too in LA." Daniel teases. "I don't know what I'll do. Of course I'll do music but what about college? We are gonna be seniors Danny." Payton says. "Maybe we can do the online school and hopefully we can graduate together. I don't think I'll have time for college to be honest." Daniel sighs. "I'll just do my senior year for now and we'll see what happens." Payton looks at Daniel and smiles. "Do you think I'm allowed to fly out with you?" Payton asks. "Maybe. I can call. Where would you stay though?" Daniel asks her. "Trevor's in LA. I can crash with him and his roommate for a while." Payton says with her idea. "You think he'll let you?" Daniel asks. "If I call him right now I'll see." Payton says pulling out her phone. "Call him. Why not?" Daniel smiles and Payton pulls up Trevor's phone number to call.

"Payton!" Trevor answers the phone. "Hey Trevie! What's up?" Payton puts her phone on speaker. "Nothing just eating dinner. How are you?" Trevor asks. "I'm doing good actually." Payton smiles. "I'm so sorry again I wasn't in Dallas last week for your dad. I would have loved to but I got stuck with production and everything." Trevor says. "No don't worry about it." Payton chuckles. "Listen, I need to ask a favor." Payton says looking at Daniel. "Anything, what's up?" Trevor says. "Well you know I'm still in Portland with Daniel.." Payton starts to say. "Hi Trevor!" Daniel says in the phone. "Yea hey Dan Man!" Trevor laughs in the phone. "Here's the thing...Daniel is gonna be in a band now." Payton tells Trevor. "No way! Congrats man!" Trevor tells Daniel. "Thanks man." Daniel smiles. "He's gonna move with the band to a house in Beverly Hills." Payton says. "Oh that's so cool! You'll be in LA!" Trevor says all excited. "Now my thing is, I don't have a place to stay anymore with Daniel going to be gone. I told his parents I would stay for a maximum time and with my dad gone there's no other option but find an apartment." Payton explains to Trevor. "Ok cool. Where at?" Trevor asks. "Somewhere in the LA area. While Daniel's with the boys I can move close by too." Payton says. "No way! So you'll both be in LA?" Trevor asks. "Correct. But the thing is, I haven't found an apartment yet. I'm gonna look at some online and then I'm gonna fly down there with Daniel to look at them in person." Payton says. "In the meantime, I don't have a place to stay for like a two or three weeks so I was gonna ask if I could crash with you and your roommate Troy." Payton asks and Trevor thinks for like 10 seconds. "Oh my gosh yes! We have can blow up an air mattress for you and crash in the office room." Trevor says and Payton smiles. "Oh my gosh Trevie you are the best friend a girl could ever ask for." Payton smiles and Daniel hugs her. "When you coming in?" Trevor asks. "Daniel flys in September 3rd and I might too." Payton says. "Ok yea no problem! I also know a couple great places that you'll like." Trevor mentions. "That's perfect. Thanks so much." Payton tells him. "No problem squirt. I haven't seen you in so long anyway so I'll love to catch up with you guys." Trevor says. "We would like to as well." Daniel says into the phone. "Sweet. Just text me some details soon. Congratulations Daniel on the band again and I'll see you guys soon." Trevor says and they end their phone call. "Look's like we're going to LA." Daniel looks at Payton. "I can't believe it." Payton smiles. "I was texting the guy who called me while you were on the phone and he said he has an extra plane ticket if you wanna take so I said that you would." Daniel tells Payton. "Perfect." Payton smiles and kisses Daniel.
