Hey, @DaughterofGaea writing this chapter. This is all about Dagger. So throughout the book, I'll be writing about Dagger this time. I'm not sure if we might write about the other person or not, we haven't decided yet. It's like, frigging, 2:30 AM right now. BEAR WITH US, or just me. Or yourself. I dunno! Anyways. Third person, here it goes.
She woke up screaming, her sheets soaked with sweat. So she did what she usually did. Went out on a Nighttime Hunt. Dagger was her name. She never liked being like the other women, she never would be even if she tried. She loved hunting, and that's what she usually did, even though tonight was different. She loved being alone, and the night hunting gave her that.
Her long, dark brown hair flew back from her face as she ran after the little rabbit. In a hurry, she dropped her satchel and kept running, her charcoal eyes darting side to side to keep on track with the rabbit. She soon lost the little fluffy ball while she lost herself in her thoughts. She kept thinking about her dream, that kept her up each night or flailing under the sheets when she woke.
The gray smog was suffocating her. She could never breath from the thick smoke, even though there was no fire. She was just being suffocated the whole time she was sleeping, or being chased by demons, maybe a couple arrows spiraling out towards her. Dagger never bothered going to the kahuna of the tribe, she wouldn't want to help Dagger. She always thought that since she, Dagger, daughter of the chief, wasn't as womanly as she should be, that everyone would turn her away. Yes, there was plenty of men willing to marry her, but she knew the real reason. For the chief's position, once her father grew too old. No one wanted to marry the Manly Woman.
So she stood, in the middle of the forest. She did nothing, but stand there as the wind blew her pants. Yes, she wore pants. Another thing she didn't do as women did. She dressed as a man as much as she could.
