"So is it a deal?" Jack asked. I rose a brow at his question. "Jack, how am I supposed to trust you with this? You haven't even asked what my name is and your expecting me to work for you?" I asked calmly in a bittersweet tone.
"Listen pumpkin, I don't need to know your name to know who you are." He stated earning a scoff from me.
Fine then, Jack. It's a deal." I finally said. From the corner of my eyes I see Jack grin.
"Oh they're gonna pay..." I barely hear Jack whisper. "If you don't mind me asking, what did they do to you?" I ask a bit cautious.
Jack looked down at his desk at a photo and then look out his window with a grim look.
"Do you ever feel like something you've loved and mistreated had hated you so much they could feel the exact opposite towards you?" Jack asks
Tears filled my eyes, I don't know what jack was thinking about but my memories flooded me with his question.
Before he could see me I wiped my eyes and went back to my serious tone.
"I promise you. I'll have them dead."
Jack looked at me surprised and a bit stunned. I could tell from his eyes my face showed determination.
Breaking the silence a Hyperion soldier came in with Four files in hand. He handed them to me and ran off to where he came in from.
Is everyone terrified of Jack here?
"Well then, lets get you back to pandora already. Once your there call me and I'll give you they're coordinates." Jack said and I got up from my chair and made my way to the door.
I stopped before walking out of his office and turned back, he just looked out his window looking out into space thinking.
"Jack. By the way it's Elizabeth. Elizabeth Carter." I said and turned around and walked out of his office. I felt his eyes burning on my back as I left.
