We both walked away leaving Nisha and jack alone together, which I regret as soon as I left.
Athena bought me some water as we talked about how long it's been since we last saw each other.
"Oh my god! Remember the last mission we did together for that crazy bastard?! That was the most fun I've had in ages!" I exclaimed feeling nostalgic with Athena.
"Exactly! As soon as he told us we were going to most likely die I knew that was gonna be fun." Athena told me smiling.
The way she smiled reminded me of when we were kids. Just the both of us laughing shooting skabs.
It's been a while, hasn't it.
"So how'd you end up here, with handsome jack?" She asked and my smile faded.
"He gave me a job, nothing big. Just to kill some hunters." I said in my usual serious tone. She squinted at me and frowned.
"Why did you just leave me like that Elizabeth? We could've been working together. We could be partners right now." Athena said and I sighed.
"Athena I love you, your a sister to me but when you asked me to work with you I thought I needed space. I'm fine where I am right now. I'm fucking alive! Killing and going to parties! Couldn't be any happier." I explain and forced a smile.
"Elizabeth stop. You can't force a smile and act like everything's going fine and dandy when it's NOT! You can always quit now." Athena told me. I felt saddened by her tone.
Is this what I want with my life? I'm such a fuck up aren't I?
Athena hugged me, I was crying wasn't I? She sighed and hugged me tightly making me shut my eyes as I felt cold water drip off my chin.
"I'm so fucking dumb Athena." I mutter and she laughs.
"As if I don't already know that Elizabeth." She tells me making me laugh, she would always make me laugh even when I was sad. She was always my big sister. Caring for my dumb ass.
I let go of her and wiped my eyes and looked for Jack I couldn't find him so I just looked at Athena.
Her face showed anger and was staring at someone. "Elizabeth, you might want to look at your 'boyfriend'." Athena said glaring at jack.
Nisha was making out with him.
