In any case, Sugawara would never warm up to a stranger so easily, but not everyone can appear before you in a bright light.
It felt nice to be held. It was almost like the warmth was enough to return the color back to his face, that all he needed was comfort.
Oikawa let go, and stood up. Sugawara stared at the angel as he walked around the room. He picked up the picture frame of Suga and his mother. Oikawa turned his face to Suga, who was waiting expectantly. Oikawa smiled at him, and Sugawara's cheeks turned to a dusty pink color.
"Your mother is very happy, she was reunited with her lover." Oikawa said, happily a grin coming to his face, his real personality finally showing to Sugawara.
Sugawara felt drawn to Oikawa's smile, it was beautiful.
"What was my father like?" Suga whispered. Oikawa put the picture frame down and continued to walk around the room.
"He is a good man. He protects a lot of people, and your mother was one of the people he protected." Oikawa said, becoming serious.
Suga frowned, was his father a police man of some sort?
"Suga, your father was an angel, in fact, he was an archangel." Oikawa says, smirking slightly at Sugawara, a playful tone in his voice.
Suga widened his eyes as a million questions swam through his head.
"But doesn't that make me an angel?" Sugawara asked. Oikawa looked at him and smirked.
"You're fast. You're an angel too, just not as powerful as me of course. You took after your mother, as a human but you do possess some angelic power." Oikawa says, fingers tapping against the windowpane, as if he was waiting for something.
"Why didn't she tell me?" Suga clenched his hands into a fist. Oikawa looks at Suga's hands.
"Maybe she was scared of what you would think." Oikawa says. Suga sighs.
"My mother used to tell me that when i was a baby i would smile at nothing as if an angel was telling me a joke." Suga says, and a small blush creeps across Oikawa's cheeks.
"I-i guess i was pretty funny." Oikawa says. Suga smiled softly and Oikawa felt his heart flip. He hasn't seen that beautiful smile in such a long time.
Maybe it was a good idea that he saved Suga.
Just as Oikawa thought that, a loud rumbling sounded throughout the house.
Oikawa's eyes widened. He didn't have to deal with demons for almost one hundred years now.
"Suga, hide." Oikawa says, clenching his teeth. "It's about to get ugly."
Sugawara slowly backs away and hides behind a curtain. Just as Suga hid, a portal opens on Suga's door and a demon that looks just like a bull with claws charges towards Oikawa.
"Tooru!" It says in a dark voice before colliding with the said angel. A blue light appears and suddenly Oikawa is holding up a sword against the bull's horns.
"Hello there, Taru." Oikawa says playfully, gritting his teeth.
"Where's the human? He is ours!" Taru says, clawing at Oikawa's face. Blood splatters and Suga can see a large and deep gash right under Oikawa's eye, but Oikawa doesn't budge and instead pushes harder against the bull.
"Not unless i'm here." Oikawa says, and suddenly bright blue vines of light come out from under Oikawa and start wrapping around the demon.
"What? What are you doing?!" The demon yells and Oikawa just smirks in response.
"Until then, good luck getting this human away from me!" Oikawa yells and suddenly the vines of blue light squeeze into the bull and burn its flesh, and it yells out in pain.
Oikawa takes this time to push the bull back into the portal, and then he stabs the wall near the portal with his sword and it forces itself closed.
Oikawa collapses on the floor and Suga runs out and traces his fingers along Oikawa's cut.
"Oikawa? Are you okay?" Suga asks, Oikawa smiles under Suga's touch.
"I'm fine, i'm an angel remember?" Oikawa says and he closes his eyes and a small blue vine comes out of the palm of his hand and as soon as it touches Oikawa's face, the gash slowly disappears.
"But are you okay?" Oikawa asks, "that might've been pretty traumatizing."
Suga shakes his head, and smiles sadly.
"I'm okay." He says to the angel.
But something was still bothering him, as he thought back to what the demon said.
What did they want from him?
