Detective Tom Eliot took his mobile phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. He spoke and said, "I am afraid that I have a bad news for you."
It was house of Mr. Robert, who was murdered six months ago. Detective Eliot had been investigating the case; but the case became more challenging for him from the day when he found out that Mrs. Deborah, wife of Mr. Robert, was also murdered in the cold blood. Cops, who were searching every corner of the house, collected evidence from the place where the offence had been committed.
It was a small family. Mr. Robert and his wife lived there peacefully with their daughter, but this family started to shatter as if someone had put the evil eye on them. Mr. Robert was a successful businessman; he had as huge bank balance as his house. Their servants left the house gradually because they thought that there were evil spirits who had occupied this house. There remained only two but they also left after Mr. Robert was murdered.
Blood was everywhere -from her bedroom to drawing room; her body was discovered from bathroom tub, in Mr. Robert's bedroom. She was first attacked in the kitchen and then in her bedroom. She ran here and there in order to save her life. She was in the drawing room where she was brutally murdered. The killer dragged her body and dumped it in the bathroom tub.
Detective Eliot looked a little baffled from what he had seen. He continued on the phone call and told the one he was speaking with about Mrs. Deborah.
"You must come to police station'' begged Detective Eliot.
"Her daughter was in her bedroom and she was very frightened; but I could see two more people with her in that room; one was her best friend and the other one was boyfriend."
"I am taking them to police station; you are required to come and help solve this mystery" he added further.
Tom Eliot was an experienced cop who had solved many cases in his career but he had never encountered with as complicating case as this. There was certainly a reason behind this case which had somehow brought sweat on his forehead when he found Mrs. Deborah's frightened daughter and two more in her room!
Tom Eliot remembered the day when he met Mrs. Deborah four weeks after when Mr. Robert was murdered; she was very upset and worried about the behavior of her daughter. She told him that her daughter stayed all the time inside her room and never talked. She would go to college and come back and then lock her inside.
Mrs. Deborah was also concerned about a girl and a boy whom her daughter described Yelena as best friend and Paul as boyfriend. They would often come to see her daughter; sometimes Yelena would and sometimes Paul --sometimes both. Yelena appeared to be a well mannered girl but Paul was a guy who would try to overcome by his sharp words, and he would smoke a lot.
They even talked to Mrs. Deborah and told her that they would keep coming so as to comfort her because there was something that she had been going through and she was not doing her best for her daughter. She added further that she had had enough of Anna, but she wondered how Yelena became her friend and then that guy Paul --The Lover!!! Mrs. Deborah expressed feelings of astonishment when she was telling all this matter to him.
Tom Eliot recovered from this flashback and ordered cops to take the three to police station.
Daughter of Mrs. Deborah was in the interrogation room where she still seemed frightened. After a while, she heard some people talking behind the door; and then she saw the door open.
Someone entered in the room and uttered loudly, "There is no need to be frightened because everything will just be alright very soon."
This person had not worn a uniform but nonetheless appeared to be a cop to the girl. This person approached to her and asked what her name was.
The girl said, "I am Anna."
The person froze for a while and said, "Hello Anna I am Detective Brad Dourif."
Detective took his chair and sat in front of her. He looked at some papers and then began to ask questions. Anna started crying. She could not hold her tears in her eyes.
Anna cried, "My mother was murdered and I was also there but could not do anything to save her life."
She added further that there was someone who could do this. Detective looked surprised and asked who it could have been. Anna continued to tell and mentioned about someone who had been chasing for a long time. Anna told that she had even been chased everywhere, in college and in the shopping mall; and she believed that he must be the killer.
"I talked about this to my parents but they did not believe it," she added.
Detective asked to describe the person who had been chasing her. Anna told that she see could not see his face because he wore a hoodie.
Detective Dourif asked Anna how long she knew Yelena and Paul.
As far as Detective Eliot was also concerned about Yelena and Paul; and that was reason why he wanted some help.
Mrs. Deborah had also been worried about Anna and her friends because she had lost her daughter into nowhere.
