I wrote this at church. H e l p. Also I'm sorry for making this so dramatic lol. It's gonna get more humorous and jUICY starting at chapter 3 or 4. 😛 •August 19, 2017• ______________
He saved me.
Correction. He saved me from falling.
He didn't save me from my problems.
If he didn't come I could of jumped without hesitation.
But he just stood there, embracing me in his arms.
And I stood there. In his embrace.
I closed my eyes. I knew what was coming.
Sympathy.
I hated sympathy. Sympathy was always just an act. Just a way to make yourself seem like a good person, when in reality, you really couldn't give two fucks. People didn't just give sympathy. They gave it for personal satisfaction. The satisfaction of being able to say "I'm a good person." or a way to check off their "daily good deed" for church. No one actually cared.
He finally let go after the several moments of silence.
"What happened? Why were you going t-to jump?" He said, shocked.
He looked genuinely worried.
I didn't want to say anything but I couldn't keep this in any longer. I needed to talk to someone. I needed to get everything out.
He can give me all the fake sympathy he wants. I don't care anymore.
"No one cares." I mumbled.
"What?"
"No one cares. No one fucking cares. Not even my parents." I raised my voice. I need to make sure he heard me. I didn't want to have to say it a second time.
"Wh-what do you mean?" He stuttered.
There goes my efforts. I let out a humorless laugh. "Did I stutter? I just said 'no one cares'."
"I'm sure you have people who care about you-"
"I really don't." I said cutting him off, "you wouldn't understand anyway. You're perfect. You're the perfect athlete. You're the perfect student. You're the perfect guy in every girl's eyes. You're the perfect child. Perfect. Everyone loves you."
"That's not tru-" I can't believe this guy.
"Even if your life isn't as perfect as it seems, it's probably still a hell lot better than mine."
