Angels don't make out

Chapter two

Getting out of my car and heading inside the school, I noticed there weren't that many people here yet. Which I guess makes sense considering there's still forty minutes until school starts.

Good thing I brought my book with me! I'll finally have enough time to finish my book and find out if Hazel Grace lives or not.

~30-ish minutes later~

brrriiiiinnnnnnggggg

'That's the five minute bell, I've only got ten pages left but I don't want to be late to class..... I guess I'll just read it on the way.'

I start heading out of the library toward Mrs. Joel's art class. All of a sudden this wall pops up out of nowhere!

'Ow, I guess I shouldn't have been reading and walking' I think to myself. That's when I look up and realize, I didn't walk into a wall,

I walked into Andy McAldron. Who just happens to be the biggest "bad boy" in school.

"Hey! Watch where you're go...."

He looks down at me and pauses mid-sentence. But it doesn't matter, one of his stupid groupies finishes it for him:

"Damn, watch where you're going! Focus on learning to walk instead of reading your stupid books!" Jake basically yells at me while the other guys, and those who've gathered around us, erupt in cruel laughter.

Normally I would've started crying. Not because I've never been bullied before, because I have, but because I can't stand being yelled at.

But I wasn't really focused on jake yelling at me, I was focused on andy; who was still staring at me.

I saw something flicker in his eyes. It's almost looked like, love, and then pain and regret. Then it got replaced by anger and he looked away and said:

"Watch where you're going."

As I started to get up to leave, he turned around and I saw one last emotion in his eyes before we both walked out desperate ways,

guilt.
