Finding the Truth

"El?" Calum says, poking her face.

We are at her house because her mom said she needed to get out. It's been a week, after all.

But before we do that, we have to wake her up...

"No, no. Don't do it like that. Do it like this." I say, rolling my eyes.

"ELAINA EFRON YOU BETTER WAKE UP OR I WILL EAT YOUR BREAKFAST AND KILL YOUR LLAMACORN!" I yell.

"NO!" She yells, popping up.

"What's a llamacorn?" Michael asks

"It's a mix of a llama and a unicorn, duh." Elaina says, making a hand gesture that I think is supposed to be a llamacorn, but it looks sorta like, you know.

"It looks like your hands are having-" Calum starts, but then her mom walks in the room.

"Having what?" Her mom asks, with a pleasant French lilt.

"Uh." Calum says

"It's a llamacorn." Elaina says

Her mom shakes her head and leaves.

"Well, that was weird." Luke says, grinning.

"Yeah, it was..." Elaina laughs, "So, why are you guys here?"

"Well, we think you should get out." Michael says

"By that, you mean my mother thinks I should get out." Elaina says

"Well, yeah, but we do too." I say

" Les gars, je ne peux pas." Elaina says,

We really need to break that habit.

"Uh, Elaina?" Luke asks

"I can't. I can't get out." Elaina says

"Why not?" I ask

"I'm, I'm..." She starts

"Are you scared?" Calum asks

"Yes."

She's still scared. Of course she's still scared.

"Well, now I'll feel like a complete a-" Calum starts, but then her mom walks in again.

"A complete what?"

"WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME!" Calum yells

I think we're all going to have a laughter overdose.

Her mom leaves again.

"Don't you just have the worst luck?" Elaina laughs

"YES!" Calum yells

"Seriously, though, we won't let her hurt you, or anything." Michael says

I stay silent.

"So, uh, you never told us why she attacked you." Ashton says, cautiously.

"I don't know." I lie

"So she just randomly came and attacked you?" Michael asks

I stay silent.

"That's not true." Ashton says

"How do you know it's not?" I ask

"I heard her call you awful things. This chick had something against you."
