My New Boyfriend (Sequel to My New Brother)

Part 3

Well hello! Today is my first day of spring break so I should be able to update multiple times this week!

"Are you ready to go?" I asked Braden. Mom and dad thought it was a good idea if he was more social so we were going on a double date with Seth and Adalynn. Of course mom and dad didn't know about that. We hadn't told them we were dating and weren't really in a hurry to anyway.

"Well...since I have no choice..." Braden said.

"Hey don't make me feel bad!" I said. "It'll be good for you. And now I can finally meet this Adalynn."

"You know we used to go out, right?"

"Really? Well I'd love to meet her." I said.

He sighed at my response. "Fine."

We drove to the restaurant, which was a restaurant, but it was Chick-Fil-A. Fast food is good I guess, haha. 

"Hey guys!" Seth screamed. And behind him stood this really pretty girl. 

"Hi, I'm Adalynn." She said to me. "And nice to see you again Braden."

Holy shit, she was beautiful! I immediently felt insecure. Braden dated her? She seemed nice but was probably one of those girls that everyone hated since she was so pretty. 

We all ordered chicken sandwiches and talked for a while.

"So how has it been Braden? I saw what happened on the news and heard you were in a coma. And you're okay now?" 

"Yeah." Braden said, not meeting her gaze. He hadn't looked at her once and it was obvious he was avoiding her.

After that Seth and Adalynn did most of the talking, saying how much they loved each other and how they were going to have sex tonight. Braden and I just sat there awkwardly.

Finally it was time to leave.

"How come you broke up with her?" I said later in the car.

"I didn't." He said. "She cheated on me with Seth two years ago."

"Oh....I'm sorry. Do you still have feelings for her?"

"No. I'm glad we broke up I guess. All she wanted from me was sex."

"Oh um wow." I said.

"She's kind of a whore." Braden explained as if it were a known fact. "And so is Seth. I guess they just kind of found each other. And they have sex with other people all the time and don't even care."

"Some people are like that I guess." I said.

He looked up at me innocently. "Hallie...can we please not do that? It's like cheating. And I'm not a whore." 

"Of course we won't." I said kissing him to reassure him.

"I-I'm sorry, I just-I don't want to lose you." He said. 

"You don't have to worry about that." I reassured him.

"But...what if I'm not good enough?" He said.

I knew he was insecure but...woah. 

"Braden, hey, it's okay. I wouldn't ever cheat on you, you know that right?"

He nodded slowly.

"Good." I said. "We should get home."

Sorry it's short, I have big ideas for this story but never know what to put in between those big ideas and so I end up making some parts very short. If anyone has any ideas for this story please message me about it! I need good filler ideas.
