One Last Time (Rin Matsuoka X Reader) Free!

Prologue

"You take care of yourself, alright?" My father states, giving Rin a hand shake.

"You too, Russel!" He says, his Japanese accent poking through his almost perfect English.

"We're going to miss you so much, Rin!" My mom sobs, giving Rin a hug. He releases her and finally turns to me. He holds up his fist to me, offering me a fist bump. Instead of bumping his fist with my own, I wrap my arms around his neck, giving him a tight hug.

"Goodbye, Rin." I say in Japanese, trying not to cry. While Rin was here, he taught me Japanese as I taught him English. Rin hugs me back.

"Bye, (Y/N)." He whispers. He releases me from the hug and boards the plane. Leaving our now family of three. Once Rin was out of sight, my parents turn to me.

"(Y/N), are sure you want to go all the way to Japan? Aren't you scared since you're not familiar with the language ?" My mom questions, giving me a worried expression.

"I'll be fine, mom. Remember Rin taught me Japanese?" I insist.

"You're lucky Rin's mother is letting you stay with her while you're visiting Rin." Dad says. I nod in agreement.

"Yeah, I know. I have to do this. I have to see Rin one last time. I need to swim with him one last time. I'll only be there for a month! It'll be over before you know it!" I declare. Reluctantly, my mom gives me my luggage that was hidden.

"Okay, dear. Remember, you're flight leaves in about two hours. You'll most likely be a few hours behind Rin's but, his mom and sister will be at the airport to pick you up. Do what you will once you arrive, just don't get yourself in too much trouble." My mom explains. Smiling, I give my parents a hug.

"Thanks so much! I love you guys!"

If I knew following Rin back to Japan would've hurt so much, I wonder if I would have gone...
