The girls sat to eat, conversation buzzed and they all learned a little about each other. A group of boss women coming together will always end in either two ways, great, strong sisterhood or they can decide they will not tolerate each other. Luckily this group bonded well, they were familiar even with their striking differences.

Debbie was the most mature, she had light skin, her big eyes and smiling mouth made her look ever happy. Short and very curvy, she was definitely attractive . Surya in contrast was very tall, dark and slim she had little curves but was not flat, Surya also had big brown eyes and high cheek bones. Her face was very symmetrical, and on it lay her button nose and full but small lips. She was quiet but when she spoke everyone listened. Imani was average height, her complexion was neither light nor dark, just in the middle. Out of everyone she had the biggest eyes, enlarged even further with long lashes, they matched her pointed nose and wide mouth. She was not plus size but her hips were large, she also had a tendency to tease everyone all the time. She had a way with words you could listed to her talk all day. Chyna was a regular girl from the Bronx, mixed race, fair skinned with very deep blue eyes. Her lips were naturally pink and full. She was a little taller than average and had a slim hourglass figure. Night was the definition of black beauty, her skin was very dark, it contrasted beautifully with her gray eyes. She had a pointed nose, high cheekbones and pouty lips, her body was very toned and her skin was silk. She was a magical being in every way. Mimi's face expression looked like she always had her own private joke, like she knew something you did not. She had sleepy, but keen eyes and her lips rested in a permanent subtle smile. She was Adebisi's height and Toni's skin complexion.

At the end of the day the girls parted ways with good feelings except for Adebisi, Mimi and Toni, they wondered the streets of New York together until it was dark.
"So what did you think about the girls?" Toni asked
"I liked them." Mimi shrugged
"Yeah, I just think if they come for you again then I can't be friends with them." Adebisi said firmly
"It's funny that I brought them together then ended up being singled out." Toni did not feel particularly hurt.

Adebisi did not reassure Toni because at the end of the day, she was in the wrong. Neither was Adebisi going to comfort her but she would always defend her. Mimi felt no loyalty to Toni so she said
"You weren't just singled out, you singled yourself out by saying we're all criminals and you're not."
Toni and Mimi exchanged nasty glances, Adebisi was in the middle, both of the girls waited for her to take their side but she did not. They continued to walk in awkward silence.

Toni decided to break the ice
"Where do you live Mimi?"
"I'm staying at a hotel because I live in California, but I'll move into a college dorm." Mimi replied.
"What about Rashad?" Adebisi always felt protective over him.
"He's in California with my nan." Mimi missed him already, she was like a mother to him so she worried even though he was in good hands.

Adebisi and Mimi knew they had a lot of catching up to do but at that moment they were happy to just be in each other's company. They held hands, not letting go so neither is snatched from the other again. It is for that same reason the girls had not gone home, Adebisi wanted to stay with Mimi but she could not invite her to a house that was not hers, Toni would have to. Toni being the kind natured girl that she was, asked Mimi to join them at her house. Mimi being Mimi, refused but after Toni pleaded, she agreed. The only reason she refused was because she was uncomfortable with good treatment, it was so foreign to her that she did not like it. However, she did want to stay with Adebisi and not leave her especially after the long separation.

When they finally retuned to the house Toni informed her mother that there was going to be a new addition to the house and her mother had no objection. Adebisi and Mimi looked at each other, having a conversation with their eyes
'I can't believe it'-Adebisi
'I know right, she didn't even ask if I could, she just said that I am staying.'-Mimi
'And her mom didn't even care'
'This is so alien'
"Welcome to our house Mimi, please make yourself at home." Aunt Shadè said and she embraced Mimi who was still in shock.

It was a long day so the girls freshened up and went to bed, Toni fell asleep as her head landed in the pillow, but Mimi an Adebisi lay awake in the dark.

"Are you afraid of the nightmares?" Adebisi whispered to Mimi
"Yeah, are you?"
"I didn't have one last night, I don't think I'll have one tonight either."
"Why?"
"Get up, I want you to meet someone."
"Who?"
Adebisi did not answer, instead pulled Mimi out of bed and led her to the front door, Mimi pulled back.
"Wait! Outside? Is it safe at this time?"
She looked horrified. Adebisi felt hurt that Mimi would question her safety and Mimi noticed.
"I trust you bibi, lets go."
Adebisi pretended to believe her and continued on but with less conviction.

They arrived at the church and the old Jamaican woman was there....
