Up against the tides, so in wrath
the sea shell had no will of it's own
tossed tumbled
side to side
entering the indigo waters wild
of the foamed sea
a part of oceans vast
till it found itself in the looming
darkness of the silent side
the drops of pearl waters held close to its heart
afraid to be a part of the darkness
lest they part
softly it held on to fervent hope
but....
as in the Time's chest of withheld promises
never coming to fruition
the indigo waters ice cold knew
as they waited for the sea shell
in wicked lures of their sandy tombs.
