Never Mind

19 8 4

Never mind the rustling of the fallen leaves,

talking in the language of the voiceless, the defenceless.

Never mind the fervent whispers of the wind,

crying for the ones who fly with it, earth bound in mist like chains.

Misery never ending, unfinished businesses to return to.

Never mind the moon caught in an eternal loop,

following its lover of lifetimes ago, waxing waning in love and grief.

Never mind the looming trees,

growing roots to uncover mysteries deep.

They seek with crawling branches those lost in tombs of their own making.

Never mind the water as it gushes forth from the womb of the earth,

carrying the breath of life, the stories of fruition and death, washing away all of our sins.

Never mind, let it all be.

The circle revolves infinite ceaselessly, and me ?

I write to seek who I am , for the mind plays tricks

conjuring up words I hesitate to understand.

I write. Never mind fate and destiny.
