The next day, Ruby and Jade met up at the castle. Sofia greeted them, wearing her purple flying derby uniform. "Hi, guys," she waved.

"Hi, Sofia," Ruby grinned.

"How come I've never seen you wear that thing before?" Jade asked.

"I usually wear this for flying derby," Sofia replied. "While we take a break from our royal project, Hugo and I are going to hitch a ride on our flying horses."

Jade's smile dropped when Sofia said that. As a princess, Sofia did hobbies that common girls only dream about.

"Okay, well, let's just get started on our playdate before he gets here," Jade muttered.

Sofia noticed that Jade isn't very happy. "Okay," she said awkwardly. "Well, I was thinking we could start by drawing pictures."

"Sure," Ruby agreed.

The three girls went to Sofia's bedroom to draw pictures. The girls drew different pictures. Ruby could tell that Jade was very unhappy.

"Ruby, why does Sofia get to be a princess?" Jade whispered. "Everyone likes her more than me, and she gets to do stuff we only dream about. Plus, she has the prettiest clothes."

"Oh, Jade, I wouldn't be so upset about it," Ruby whispered. "Just because Sofia is a beautiful princess and makes her own dreams come true, it doesn't mean everyone likes her more than you."

Unbeknownst to the duo, Sofia had been listening to their conversation. "Everyone likes who more?" she asked.

Jade and Ruby realized that Sofia had been overhearing the conversation. Jade didn't want Sofia to know what was bothering her. "We were just talking about the story Snow White," she lied. "We think it's wrong for the Evil Queen to believe she should be fairer than her stepdaughter."

Ruby thought it was ironic of Jade to say that. If it was wrong of the Evil Queen to envy Snow White, then it was also wrong of Jade to envy Sofia.

"I see," Sofia said. "Well, what are you guys drawing?"

"I drew a mermaid," Ruby smiled, showing her mermaid drawing.

"And I drew Snow White," Jade chimed in.

"Nice drawings," Sofia smiled.

"What are you drawing, Sofia?" Ruby asked.

"A special memory," Sofia declared. She showed her drawing of herself with Roland, her best friend Prince Hugo, his older brother Axel, their father King Garrick, Sir Jaxon, and the dragons of Brazendell.

"Wow, that really happened?" Ruby asked.

"What happened that day?" Jade asked.

"Hugo once had a nightmare having to do with dragons invading his kingdom, and it made him scared whenever he saw a dragon or anything that looked like one," Sofia recalled. "To help him get over his new fear, Dad and I took him and his family to meet my dragon friends in Brazendell, and Hugo got over his fear."

Ruby was fascinated by this story, but Jade was jealous that Sofia got to visit other kingdoms while she was stuck in Enchancia. Suddenly, Roland came and said, "Sofia, Prince Hugo and King Garrick are here."

"Already?" Sofia gasped. "We still have 35 minutes before we start our project."

"It's okay, Sofia," Jade smirked. "We were just going anyway."

Sofia was surprised by the way Jade had said that. "Okay, see you guys later?" she frowned.

Sofia and Roland met up with her best friend and his father at the same door Ruby and Jade exited.

"Greetings, King Garrick, Prince Hugo," Roland bowed.

"Good marrow, King Roland," Garrick grinned. He turned to Sofia and cooed, "And how's my favorite little princess today?" He gently stroked Sofia's chin.

"Fine, King Garrick, thank you," giggled Sofia.

Jade jealously glared at what was going on just now. She couldn't bear to hear Garrick call Sofia his favorite princess and see him tickle her chin.

"Time to go, Jade," Ruby said, dragging Jade into their carriage. Once both girls were in the carriage, they took off back to Dunwiddie.

"We still have 34 minutes before we get started on that project," Roland declared. "Should we do something until then?"

"Well, it's a beautiful day," Garrick noted. "We can go for a walk or ride before we get started."

"That's a nice idea so long as Sofia and Hugo don't play any energetic games and tire themselves out," Roland chuckled.

"We won't, Dad," Sofia smiled.

"Good," Roland smiled. "We'll step into the hardware store for extra supplies for the project."

The royals climbed into a coach and took off to the village.
