Round Three: The Marauder’s Map (Maybe)
While wandering aimlessly (or with purpose) around the Hogwart’s grounds, rumours twirl and dance as if they were performing for an endless audience. And you, being an average, everyday Hogwart’s student, happened to overhear a rumour about an object that had only previously been spoken of as a legend: The Marauder’s Map.
In this round, your challenge will be to obtain the Marauder’s Map from Filch’s office, while also including how you heard of the map’s whereabouts, and why you need it.
And one more thing… Filch has recently had a lot of break-ins, for some reason, so if you plan on your contestant getting caught, know one thing: Filch has decided that any students caught breaking into his office, they’ll receive a surprising taste in their juice that night. To summarize, Filch is going to sneak the students who don’t manage to obtain the map with some sort of potion- a potion of your choice.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send us a private message and we'll do what we can to help!
RULES:
1. You must include a description of your character’s adventures into Filch’s office. Your character does not have to be successful in obtaining the Marauder’s Map; they can be caught, or simply not be brave enough. Whatever you like, as long as they attempt to steal the map.
2. You must include the reason as to why your character would like the map.
3. You may include violence and swearing, as long as there is a warning before the beginning of the entry.
4. You may include other contestants in your entry, as long as they have agreed to their character making an appearance.
5. If your character is unsuccessful at obtaining the map (or even if they do get it, and simply want the extra challenge), you must describe the effects of the mysterious potion Filch has chosen to give them in their pumpkin juice.
**NOTE: Entries will be due on APRIL 12th, by 11:59 PM mountain time.
A reminder that this round will end with the elimination of FOUR contestants, so make sure you hand your entries in on time! Anybody who doesn’t hand them in without reason or simply because they “Didn’t feel like it” or “Forgot”, will have five points docked from their score at the end of the round.
Let the (Quidditch) Games Begin… Again… and Again...
