Yes, I know that it's cheesy to narrate a story, but I need you to suffer through it. My name is Rosetta. I go to Academiae Wisp. It's a secret school in the East made for... er, special... children? I guess that's a good enough term. And I want you to know about it. I don't want it to be a secret anymore. Think of this as a diary of sorts, but instead, I'll tell you one long story.
'Academiae Wisp' is Latin, and is literally translates to Wisp Academy. This school is for special children who get a brilliant blue or red crystal called a 'Wisp Orb'. Now, this isn't to say that all children aren't special. Every child has one of these orbs. The orbs signify your talents in life. Like famous authors. The reason why they are where they are in their lives is because that's what they are talented at. That is their wisp. But, you can't see it. You can never see your wisp. But then there are the children that go to Academiae Wisp. These children have a second orb. This one, you can see. It comes to you at random, and then takes the form of anything easy to carry around. Back in olden times, it was normally a necklace or a bracelet, but the wisps have broadened their horizons. Now there are students walking around with brooches, earrings, anklets... there was one who even had a small bag.
Now that I've told you the whole deal with the special children, I'll tell you why having a second orb is so important. Your first orb is normally something along the lines of sports, art, writing, music, or even office work – things like that. If you get a second wisp, it's normally something like manipulation over plant life. They're magical abilities that humans were never truly meant to possess. Another example is that one of the most popular kids in the school can control the wind. She had the most powerful ability to date in the new students. Well, besides the very first ones. The very first ones are our ministers; they contain the most powerful wisp abilities known to the magical world. And they all have successors; Wind, Earth, Water, Fire, Life, and Death. Well, all except for one. The head of the school, that is. His title is the Time Lord. I'm guessing you can guess his wisp from that, oui?
Ok, now that I've got all that down, I need to –
"Rosetta!" Oh geez, I gotta go. My friends are calling me.
I got up from my seat as the blonde Elvin girl came running at me. Cassandra, an Elf raised by humans. She was a sight for sore eyes. She had long, golden hair that went down to her waist. She never cut it. It was in a braid today, so it was shorter than usual.
