Day 3
Last night I didn't really go to sleep I woke up several times to stoke the fire and add more sticks to it. I have one very long stick and I am hoping to make a spear for protection. But now I need some padding. I went to the forest and gathered tons of leaves and anything I could find when all of a sudden I came across a snake slithering away. I just backed away and ran here to tell the story. I'm going to gather some more. By now I have a crap load of pine needles and branches. I have been gathering them fir like two hours! Next I tied them all up individually forming a type of crappy portable pine needle bed. That took me atleast half an hour. Next on the list.... Squirrel meat! Although I hated Hunting I know I have to and my stomach has been yelling at me for awhile now. So I packed my quiver and bow and arrows and headed towards the tree I saw a squirrel in the other day. I aimed my arrow towards the tree and waited.. For almost an hour I sat there with my hands getting tired. Out of nowhere the squirrel finally popped up and saw me I let my arrow fly and hit the poor buggar smack in the face. It was a lucky shot. The poor squirrels blood dropped from its mangled head. I grabbed him and headed home. I took the large arrow which basically took out his whole head and washed it out by the stream. First I cleansed the blood from the squirrel. I took the small razor and cut through his his fur then i stripped him of his skin. Next I did the worst. I took and squeezed his intestines out and all that gross stuff. I then put a sharp stick through him and cooked him. Other than the intestines I was hungry. After he was cooked I ate him. Even his bones for nutrition. I saved some meat for bait when I make that fishing rod. Well right now I'm guessing by the position of the sun I'm guessing it's like ten something. I went back into my cave and checked my supplies. My flint was still good enough to start a few more fires I had a good supply of rocks but i was running low on string.. I had put the squirrel skin out to dry and just rested for awhile.
I saw something in the corner of my eye in the forest.. I wasn't sure what it was but here's my best description. It was a black cat looking creature with four eyes on its triangular head with big elf like ears. it had whiskers like a cat too except it had six legs the other two were in the middle of its stomach area. The cat like thing stared directly at me then pounced into a tree. This was definetky not earth. After I was sure it was gone I walked over to investigate. I took my bow just to be safe. I also had a long knife made out of rock I made earlier. I carefully sneaked around the stream looking around above below and on the ground. On the ground where I saw it pounce we're some cat like foot prints. Now I know it's not all in my head. I haven't paid much attention but I Swear the birds here have three wings and four small eyes and long tails. The rest of them looked quite normal. As I walked past the stream I noticed a horrible stench of a rotting body. Then in the distance I could see a full grown deer lying there scratched up and half of it was missing. I stared in horror as the flies ate the rest of what was left of the mangled deer. It almost looked like wolverine scratched the poor thing to death. Well I guess it's just the cycle of life.. I walked back "home" thinking of that cat creature. I hoped it wouldn't harm me. Or eat me in that matter. I should probably make defenses. The rest if the day I gathered large branches and sharpened them with my knife and razor. It is now getting dark and I have a spear. I used the large sticks to make a fence of sharp sticks hopefully to ward off the creature. I ended up eating the last bits of squirrel meat and I am now hungry again. Tomorrow I will go hunting for birds.
