Mark's POV:

Over the past few weeks I've had Christie, I've been making her eat and sleep constantly then twice a week, I make her stand on a scale backwards so the numbers don't upset her. I've been making a log book of the measurements.

Week 1: Monday - 75 lbs

Week 1: Thursday - 79 lbs

Week 2: Monday - 82 lbs

Week 2: Thursday - 83 lbs

Week 3: Monday - 88 lbs

Week 3: Thursday - 90 lbs

We still have a while to go before she's even in her weight requirements but with this process, she'll get there fairly quickly.

The first few days here she was unconscious fighting whatever drug they have her, which after I sent off her blood work, I found out it was a almost lethal dose of methadone and oxicotin which are both muscle relaxers and explained why she was unconscious for 4 days. The melted pills didn't wear off until then.

Today is Friday and after she wakes up from her nap, I want to take her someplace fun. Some place she probably has never been before. Today she's going to remember what true fun is.

"Mark?" She spoke quietly. I didn't even know she was up.

"Hey sweetie. Did you sleep well?"

She nodded and sat on my desk in my office where I was working.

"What can I help you with?" I asked.

"Why did you buy me?" Her voice was so low I almost didn't hear it. Almost.

"What do you mean?"

"You bought me for, I don't even know how much, 3 weeks ago and you haven't tried anything. Am I not doing enough?" She asked.

My heart broke.

"Come here, hon," I said, making her straddle my lap so we were face to face in my cushioned office rolling chair. "I didn't buy you just to throw you around like a rag doll. They showed us pictures of you when you were healthier and told us that's what we were buying. But then, I saw you that night, just skin and bones and cuts and bruises and I knew I had to save you from that. I had to make you that beautiful healthy girl again. So I kept you in my arms and signed the paperwork. Now, you're getting more weight to you, you're getting color and life to your cheeks and eyes and lips and hair again. You're becoming that healthy girl again and I'm so lucky to be the reason to give you that life again. And no matter what happens, you will never go back to that place." I wiped a few tears and kissed her forehead. "Now, get dressed. I have a surprise for you." I said and she hugged me and walked out of my office.
