Long time no see. Haven't had much inspiration for this chapter until I started watching Dead Space and I said that it can't just be Necromorphs. So I took three parasitic creatures and made one. The necromorphs, xenomorphs, and the Flood from Halo. Expect lots of blood and gore and lots of insanity.

James awoke in a cot inside a medivac tent with Andrea sitting in a chair next to him. He was without his coat and weapons but he had on a black, skin tight, long sleeved shirt. Andrea held the Tome Of Darkness in her hands as she read from the pages. Most of it she couldn't understand because it was in a unknown language but what she could made her want to keep reading. But despite her want to read, her worry for James was much greater. When she heard him stir in the bed she closed the book and placed on a table, she than practically jumped on top of him and hugged him when he sat up.

“I see you're okay. What happened?” he managed to choke out.

Andrea pulled back but kept her hands on his arms.

“The enemy retreated after city defenses and Dragon Riders took the ground and skies. We’re in the market district where a medical center has been made.”

“Did everyone make it out okay?”

“All except the queen who is in shock. Dusk got roughed up, Blaze hit his head, and Fi got the wind knocked out of her. But all are alive and well.”

“The dragons?”

“All helping out at the hatchery and mating grounds.”

“Okay, I guess we can just lay here than, for a little bit at least?”

Andrea nodded and the two laid inside the cot for a bit. Despite the sounds of pained screams, moans, and shouting, they some how managed to grab a quick nap. Someone was than calling their name and slowly they woke up. It was someone they did not expect. She was an albino woman, long white hair, flawless pale skin, bright blue eyes and had a motherly smile that one could be possessed by. She wore a white tee shirt with blue denim jeans and high heels.

“Mom?” James asked still slightly asleep. “Mom, it that you?”

“Who else looks like me? Besides you, Andrea.”

“What are you doing here?”

“I came to check up on my son, my adopted children, and from the looks of it my future...daughter-in-law.” she partially spitted the words out it felt.

Andrea wanted to shrink down to nothing under Seraphina’s gaze. Instead she hid her face in James’s chest.

“It's a possibility that's most likely gonna happen.”

“I don't...I don't care about that right now! Are you two okay?”

“Yes mom. We got caught off guard and got roughed up a bit but we’re okay.”

“Okay, that’s good. Why would you ever return to this I will never know. You all almost got killed yesterday.”

“Part of being a knight mom. We fight for our people.”

“These aren't your people! You weren't born here! Your were born on Utopia.”

“Yes but i grew up here. I graduated school from here. I found love here. I became a man and soldier here. Home isn't where you were born, it's where you make it.”

Seraphina pinched the bridge of her nose and let out a long sigh.

“Why are you so much like your father?”

“Cause if I was like you I would be crazier than a Grota with a arrow in its ass. Oh wait, I already am.”

“Smartass.”
