A/N
THANK YOU FOR THE REEEEEADS HOLY SHIT

Trina's P.O.V.

As I walked home from school at the end of the day (I only live a few blocks away), I couldn't stop wondering if something was up with Marvin. At this point I couldn't tell if I was extra paranoid or just thinking logically.

Could he be cheating on me? Does he not love me anymore? Is he... Does he... Could he...

I was so lost in thought that I hadn't realized I was just standing still in the middle of the sidewalk. Three fifth graders (I recognized them from Jason's class) were trying to ride past me on their bikes.
"'Scuse me, lady," one said, and I shuffled out of their way. They sped off immediately after I moved.

I miss being a kid; so carefree, without a worry in the world. I set that thought aside and tried to focus on something else as I walked up the hill to my house. Jason's tutoring sessions, Mr. Reyes' writing assignment, what I could make for dinner...
It was no use. I couldn't get Marvin off my mind. I'll text him when I get home. Find out if he's okay.

I rummaged through my backpack for the house key Mom had given me. I found it and unlocked the front door.
"Mom? Dad? I'm home!" I called as I plopped my backpack down on the floor. I went to the kitchen to get something to drink; I was parched. My throat goes dry when I'm nervous.

As I was scanning the refrigerator for something that I could drink, I heard my mom's voice.
"Hey Trina, darling. How was school?"

"Good," That was a lie.

"Anything exciting happen?" She pressed.

"Nah. Just, uh, a normal day at school. Totally." I replied, picking up a bottle of diet Coke and pouring it into a glass.

"Alright. Your father and I are going to be out tonight to go see a band concert. Are you going to be all right here by yourself?"

"Yes, Mom. Jeez, I'll be going to college in two years." I sipped some of the diet Coke from my glass.

"Oh, honey, you're growing up too fast!" A new voice said.
(My dad says that all goddamn the time to me)

I turned to see my dad in the kitchen. I rolled my eyes.

"We're gonna be leaving in an hour. There's some leftover sausage pizza in the fridge you can heat up, okay?" My mom told me.

"Okay. Thanks, Mom."

Whizzer's P.O.V.

I unlocked and opened the door to my apartment complex to find my little brother Kevin watching Disney channel, like usual (he's been obsessed with it ever since we went to Orlando a few years back). He's a little old for it, but that never stopped him.

"Hey Kevin," I greeted him. He gave me a grunt in response. Typical. I continued.

"How was school?"

"Good..." He answered half-heartedly. He didn't look my direction, his eyes were glued on the television, showing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I didn't give up.

"How's your little boyfriend? Connor was his name, right?"

"SHUT UP WHIZZER, HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" He got all flustered and tackled me as I took a seat next to him on the couch. I ruffled his hair playfully and laughed.

"Besides, he likes Steve Blade."

"Who's Steve Blade?"

"Just a random kid."

Both of us were gay(not for each other, that's nasty). I had known since my freshman year, whereas Kevin knew since fourth grade when he developed a crush on his friend Connor. He came out to me when he mentioned his crush on a boy, and I came out to him too, telling about my boyfriend (who I can't remember the name of). Niether of us had told our mom yet; we didn't know wat her reaction would be. But we did leave hints. Or at least I did.

I watched Disney channel with him for a little bit. Watching TV was the only thing we could do together that wasn't fighting.
I heard keys jingling, a door open, and light footsteps walk into the kitchen. My mom was home.

"Hi boys, how was school?" She asked us as she set her purse and grocery bags down on the counter. She's a journalist for our local newspaper. Not to brag, but her articles are pretty good. Good writing, good editing, good topics.

Kevin and I spoke at the same time. He said "Good" while I said "Okay."

"Where's Jack?" I asked her. Jack was Kevin's twin brother. Despite sharing a bunk bed and doing literally everything together, they could never get along. All Hell broke loose whenever they fought.

"He's spending the night at a friend's house. What did you do in school today?"

"We had a math test." Kevin groaned. He hates math. More than anything.

"Oh yeah? How'd you do?" She asked him, smiling.

"8/12." He answered after hesitating to remember his score. My mom looked disappointed.

"That's only 75%! Kevin!"

"Could be worse."

She sighed irritatedly and I got up from the couch and went to my room. I didn't really want to hear them argue. I sat down on my bed with a pink Disney princess blanket(don't judge me) and began unbuttoning my shirt. It was unusually hot for October and I had gotten really sweaty. I needed a shower.

The water felt nice as it hit my back. Instead of actually showering, I just thought about random things. One of which was the topic for the debate essay. Marvin and I would probably never agree on one.
Oh well, we still have two days left to decide. We'll have chosen by then!
I went back into my room and changed into more comfortable clothes, a loose t-shirt and sweatpants. I flopped down onto the bed and looked at all my social media accounts.

My friends Charlotte and Cordelia were hopelessy flirting in our group chat I called "the lesbians from next door." (One day I started calling them the 'lesbians next door' because they both live on either side of me and the name stuck.)

Charlotte was one year older than the two of us, which meant she graduated earlier that year. She had gone off to a medical school in New Jersey, so we wouldn't see her as much. She was usually busy, so now was a rare time I would be able to talk to her.

Aww you guys are cute

Charlotte🚑
Sup whizzer? Havent heard from u in a while

We talked about all sorts of things. Charlotte's courses, our favorite restaurants, and somewhere in there I think I mentioned Marvin. We chatted for around an hour or so until Charlotte had a class to attend and Cordelia's mother needed help with dinner. I heard my own mother calling me for dinner and got up from my bed.

I had no idea what was about to come next.
