PROLOGUE: Graduation

"You look beautiful" Beck said admiring his girlfriend of 4  years as she was packing away the remains of her Hollywood Arts locker 

"Why are you being so nice?" she smiled affectionately 

"Because I'm excited...we're going to the same college AND we're moving in together" he beamed

"Alright president sap" she smirked "I am equally excited" she leant in and they started to make out against her empty locker 

"Well I certainly won't miss seeing this everyday" Andre chuckled as he, Tori, Cat and Robbie came into sight 

"Jealous maybe?" Jade teased him as she knew how he had a massive crush on Tori 

"I can't believe we've graduated" Cat screamed with excitement

"But that means we won't see each other all the time" Robbie sulked

"Of course we will" Tori encouraged "Jade and Beck will be in New York at julliard, which isn't far from Cat at the University of Chicago... Rob you are only a plane ride away to the University of North Dakota!! Honestly guys when you come home for christmas everything will be the same...I'll be at Berkeley and Andre will be at Stanford...it'll be fine"

"YAY!" Cat squealed, encouraging a group hug

*beep - beep*

"That'll be my mom" Beck said, checking his phone for assurance

"That's our ride to the airport" Jade said grabbing Beck's hand

"I guess this is goodbye...for now" Tori corrected herself through watery eyes "Bye Mr Hollywood" she smiled giving Beck a massive hug

"1...2....3..." Jade bellowed and Tori cut out the hug and turned to his erratic other half 

"Jade" she smiled

"Vega" Jade smiled subtly 

"I'll miss you" She said as her bottom lip quivered

"I'll miss having someone to pick on" Jade smiled but refrained from hugging her 'frenemy' 

"See you later Andre" Beck fist bumped his friend, "later Rob" he high fived as Jade followed giving small hugs  

When the couple got to Cat they paused 

"Is this goodbye?" Cat blubbed

"Until Christmas" Beck assured his emotional friend 

"Yep" Jade tried to contain her overwhelming sadness at the thought of saying goodbye to her dearest and best friend 

Cat jumped into Jade's pale and boney arms as the pair hugged for a few moments as Jade broke off 

"We best get going" she sniffed, concealing the tears excellently 

*beep-beep*

"That's my ride" Tori sighed 

*beep-beep*

"me too" Andre sulked 

*beep-beep"

"me three" Cat sobbed

"Come on I'll walk you to your car" Robbie suggested

"Christmas" Cat chimed through her sobs "Thats only 6 months away" Cat smiled 

"Christmas" the rest of the group sighed chorally as they went their separate ways 

But Christmas came and went...

Excuses after excuses saw the group grow further and further apart...

By the time they are 22 they have lost all contact...

8 years after they vowed to stay friends forever a audible conversation in a LA mall could be all they needed to reunite...
