Dashie's POV

Dreaming and Reality

Kylie's face stared at me from within the mist.

"You happened to me Dashie. This is all your fault. Nobody likes you." She taunted me, as her face slowly moved in the gray fog behind it. I briefly wondered where we were, but then I began to spin.

I found myself in front of AxA, the principal of my academy.

"Dashie, thanks to your complete failure on the final test, and your EXTREMELY low scores at the beginning of the year, you have failed your treasure hunting class. Thanks to that, you flunked this year. That is NOT acceptable. Find somewhere else to go to school next year."

"But... Ma'am, I don't understand.... you only held Amber back.... you didn't expel her!" I recalled the older girl in my class.

"Amber is a very different case. Now, I want you OUT of my office!" She cries, and two security men dragged me out. From their, I had a strange serious of visions. First, I was standing outside my apartment, and Brett was there.

"You make a fuss about me not being their for your final exam, but don't even make it that far in your schooling? I'm disappointed I have to call you my sister." He delivered the harsh words. It only got worse from there. Next, I was at a coffee shop with my best friend, Jodie.

"I can't believe you're expelled. I NEVER want to see you again."

"You failed me!"

"Why did you ever think you were good enough?" The different voices surrounded me. I couldn't tell one from the other. Finally, I focused on one. My mother's.

"You always wanted me to notice you. Here is just another example of why I didn't. You don't DESERVE my attention!" I was crying inside. I moved to another landscape. Here, I saw Star and Kiko. Two near mother figures who lived in the apartment next to me. Kiko wouldn't meet my eye.

"We're very disappointed in you Dashie." Star had a sad look in her eye. I couldn't take it. I burst out into tears. Suddenly, one voice drowned out all the others. A new one, I'd never heard before.

"Dashie? Are you alright? You're crying. It's going to be alright Dashie. You're having a bad dream."
