“Sierra get your butt up!” I yelled at her, she was going to miss her flight if she didn’t get up. She mumbled something incoherently and then provided me with a loud snore. I rolled my eyes. This girl is the worst person to wake up. I flipped her over on her back and took the extra pillow beside her. I placed the pillow on the floor estimating where her head would land. After that I grabbed her arm and proceeded to pull her out of bed. She landed with a thud on the floor. Her head almost missing the pillow. She cursed at me before flipping over to her stomach, taking the tangled sheets with her. I grabbed her and lifted her up on my shoulder carrying her to the bathroom. Not even caring that she was still in her pajamas, I put her down on the shower floor and switched the water on. Cold water hit her skin and she jumped up and ran out of the shower stall and to the other side of the bathroom shivering.
“What the fuck, A?” she yelled at me and grabbed the towel that was on the rack next to her. She wrapped herself up in the towel and I walked over to her and ripped the towel from her.
“Shower. Now. You have 30 minutes before we leave to the airport. I’ll be damned if you miss your flight because of your obsession over sleep.” I told her sternly and walked out of the bathroom. I grabbed her clothes that were strewn around the guest room and fixed her suitcase leaving out clothes for her. She came out 15 minutes later, one towel wrapped around her body and another wrapped around her hair. She glared at me and I stuck my tongue out at her. I made my way out of the room and into mine so I could put on proper clothes. I don’t think anyone would I appreciate me going into the airport with booty shorts that said ‘Suck it’ and a crop top. I pulled black sweatpants over my shorts and changed into a slightly longer shirt. My lower abdomen still showed but it wasn’t as bad as before. I grabbed my red beanie and put it on. I also put on my black vans and headed back out.
Sierra was dragging her suitcase out of the guest room and to the door. I grabbed the keys and opened the front door for her, I locked it after she was out of the apartment. We drove to the airport in silence, Sierra was constantly fazing in and out of her dream. I chuckled and rolled my eyes at my best friend. She had stayed for an entire week, most likely missing a ton of classes. I couldn’t deny that I would miss her like crazy. I know I was going to see her again for spring break when she comes home to be with her family but then I won’t see her again for a while. Sometimes it sucks that I stayed local while she moved on with her life. I’m proud of her for it but still there are moments were I envy her. I pushed away the feelings and thought about something else. I still needed to figure out what I was going to do with my life. I hadn’t picked a major yet, I was just taking BS classes at the moment.
We pulled up to the airport and I parked the car before waking Sierra up. She mumbled to herself as we got out of the car and I grabbed her suitcase from the trunk. “Alright, well this is as far as I go.” I said once we reached the inside of the airport. Sierra looked at me with a sad smile and gave me a hug. “Call me as soon as you land okay?”
“Okay,” Sierra nodded, tears brimming her eyes. “I’m gonna miss you, Amy.”
“I’m gonna miss you, too. And I expect to meet Peter. Soon you hear me?” I told her with a smirk, she nodded and gave me one last hug before going through the security check point. I watched after her until she turned a corner and I couldn’t see her anymore.
I sighed, my chest felt heavy with the need to cry. I held back the tears and walked back to my car. I sat down for a moment and phone beeped beside me signaling that the battery was low. I groaned and went onto my settings and turned off my data to save some battery. I pulled out of the parking spot and drove back home. When I walked through the door my phone went off like crazy. Having connected to the Wi-Fi, all of my notifications from apps that required data came through. I checked my instagram and saw that Sierra had tagged me in a picture of her on the plane. I smiled at the picture and then checked the rest of my notifications. I had 3 new Kik messages. I opened up the first message that was from Anthony.
