Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

I groaned and fumbled around my nightstand trying to find my annoying alarm clock, my fingers touched the cool exterior of it and I touched around trying to find the snooze button. I hit almost all of the buttons until finally I found the one I was looking for and pressed it. The sound quickly stopped and I sighed in content. I rolled over and laid flat on my back and opened my eyes. I glanced over at my clock to check the time and almost had a heart attack at the time.

Shit, I’m going to be late for my exam. I thought and jumped out of bed.

Running over to my closet, I quickly pulled out a pair of white jean shorts and a red slouchy crewneck long sleeve. I put on my red vans before grabbing a granola bar and my car keys. I basically ran to the elevator and jammed the button that called it, waiting impatiently for the elevator to arrive. Once the doors opened, I went inside and clicked the main floor and waited.

In the end, I made it to my exam just as the teacher began handing out the test papers. I quickly made my way over to an open seat in the middle and waited for my professor to hand me the test. As she was handing the test papers out, she went over the instructions saying the whole “Cheat and your test paper will be invalidated” crap before finally telling us that we could start. I quickly flipped over the test and groaned as I looked at the first question.

I’m fucked.

“Amy! Amy, wait up!” I heard someone call out behind me. Quickly, I slowed myself to a stop and turned around to see Jack half-jogging up to me.

“Hey, Jack, what’s up?” I asked once he got closer. I picked up my globe and adjusted my bag a bit.

“Nothing, I just haven’t seen you in a while and wanted to know how you were doing.” He replied a little out of breath.

I smiled and gave a small chuckle before replying. “I’ve been pretty okay, living the college life you know?”

“Yeah, I get you.” He responded. He ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath before speaking once more. “Hey, there’s a house party this Friday to kick off Spring Break, you should come by”.

I had completely forgotten spring break started after this week. Between the concert, Sierra visiting, and talking to the guys, it had completely slipped my mind. “I’ll be there.” I replied and received a huge grin from him.

Jack and I have been friends since junior year, he stuck by me throughout everything, even when it meant he could’ve lost one of his best pals. Jack gave me a quick kiss on the cheek to say goodbye and ran off to one of his groups of friends. I put my globe down and skated the rest of the way back to my apartment. Thank Lord I only live about a 2 miles away from UF. If not, gas money alone would kill me.

I made it home in about 20 minutes since I decided to take my time. I threw my keys in the bowl I keep by the front door once I stepped inside. Grabbing a banana from my fruit bowl, I walked over to my couch and turned on the TV, killing some time. About an hour and a half later I was sobbing from watching the season 4 finale of Doctor Who. My friend Jeff had gotten me to watch the show some time back and I just got back into watching it. Needless to say, the show got me on my feels. I decided to save the first episode of season 5 for another time where I don’t have things to do. I turned off my TV and went into my room to get my laptop.

I need a roommate. It’s too quiet in here for me.

My apartment was lonely and I hated being alone. I had been thinking of getting a roommate to alleviate the rent but never got around to finding one.

Maybe I could just move on campus. Ha, yeah not happening.

I snorted in a very un-ladylike manner and grabbed my laptop before falling back onto my bed. I ended up just watching movies on my laptop and falling asleep to The Avengers.

“Amy!” I heard my name being called out. I looked away from the ocean in front of me and looked back. My hair flew in the wind, going in my face slightly before flying back behind me. I could see someone running down to the end of the boardwalk where I was at. Once the person was halfway to where I was, I could see who they were.

My heart raced at the sight of him. His black hair was messy, getting blow in all directions because of the wind. He grabbed the beanie from his head to keep it from flying back and stuffed it in his pocket, still running towards me. He only slowed down when he was a few feet away. Not even saying a word, he grabs my face in his hands gently before bending down to kiss me. As soon as his lips came in contact with mine, I felt like I was burning with desire, passion, lust, and love. Our lips moved in sync, the kiss becoming heated quickly. He pulled away first, both of our chest rising and falling rapidly. “I love you, Amy.”

“I love you, too, Anthony.” I replied and stood on my tiptoes to kiss him again but before our lips could touch once more, he was gone. The once calm sky that had been relaxing me before, turned grey and dark. The waves began to rock back and forth, each time become bigger and harsher. The wind picked up and things were flying everywhere. A small whimper erupted from me as I sunk down low to the ground. The waves became bigger until finally they engulfed me.

I woke up startled, the feeling of drowning still present in my mind. My heart raced and my throat was dry. I laid in bed still for a minute until I managed to slow down my speeding heart. Once I felt like I could get up without getting dizzy and falling back down, I stood up and went to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water. I chugged down the cool water and sighed when I felt the dryness go away. I thought back to the parts of my dream that I could remember, it was already starting to fade away. I could still feel his hands on my face, as delicately as a lily. I could still feel the burning desire that swept through my body the moment our lips touched. I decided to just forget about the dream, it was just my brain being all weird. Seeing as how it was the middle of the night, I went back to bed and tried to fall asleep again. It wasn’t easy but I managed to do it.
