    "Maya! Maya wake up! We're here, we're finally here!"my mom says shaking me awake. It's 11:30am and we just got here. We past the sheriff's department as we go by. I see the sheriff's car take off.
  I wonder where he's going.

We get to the house and it's great. It's nothing like our apartment in New York but,  just as good.

I walk in and look around. Wow, this place is great. I walk up the stairs to what is going to be my room. It's empty with light blue walls. I see the moving truck pull up to the house. I go outside to help unload all the stuff.

  We finally got everything in and we sit down to eat dinner. I have one more day before I go to school thanks to my mom. I can't believe I'm going to be living here. To be honest, I'll miss New York. I'm a New York girl and nothing will ever change that.

*Next Day*

I wake up and don't feel like getting out of bed, but I do any ways. My mom already left for work so I'm alone. I go downstairs and eat some cereal. I get dressed in a gray long sleeve sweater and navy blue skirt. Today I will be exploring Beacon Hills.

     I grab my purse and walk out the door. Since I'm only 15(my birthday was October 5th) I can't drive. So I start walking around. I walked up to the nearest Starbucks and grabbed a cinnamon roll frappuccino. I walk around looking at stores, when I bump into another person. Thankfully I don't spill my drink. I look up and see that I'm face to face with a tall, dark brown hair guy.

    "Sorry. I didn't see you come around the corner."he apologizes as he rubs his hand with his neck.

    "It's okay."I say smile upon my face.
He smiles back as he walks away. Well it's about 4:30 and I haven't have lunch yet. I walk into the nearest restaurant I see. Which happens to just be McDonald's. As I finish my food I walk over towards the woods. Before I go in I see a group of friends by the entrance. I decided to do my special way of saying hi.

"Hi, I'm Maya. Your really cute. We should go out sometime. You make me happy, you don't pay enough attention to me. This isn't working out. It's you not me. We can still be friends. Not really."I say walking away with shocked expressions behind me. Before I get away from the group a girl grabs my arm.

  "Hey, that was pretty cool. I'm Riley."a girl from the group states with her hand out. She has brown hair in waves and a pink flowery dress. I shake her hand.

"Yeah, that was great. I'm Zay."one of the guys from the group say after Riley. He's African American and has black hair with a pair of brown eyes.

"I'm Frakle."he says waving his hand at me. Frakle, well I haven't heard that name before. He has light brown hair and kinda short.

"Oh and I'm Lucas."the boy who I said my special hi to says. He's tall with light brown hair. He has green hazel eyes. He's kinda cute.

   "Well as you all know, I'm Maya."I say smirk upon my face.

   "Hey do you go to school around here?"Zay asks.

   "Well I'm going to be tomorrow. I just got here from New York."

   "So your from New York."Lucas says. We talk for a little while longer and I can see I just made a great group of friends.  As we say our goodbyes, I make my way into the woods. I walk around looking at the scenery. It's actually really nice out here in the woods. It begins to get dark which means I've probably be here for over two hours.
Well time to start walking home.

   I was just about to turn around when I heard a howl. It sounded like a wolf but, I didn't think there were wolfs in California. I decided to keep walking and pretend it was nothing. I was just about out of the woods when it felt like there was something behind me. I looked behind me and I saw something. It was like a human but had fangs and claws. Whatever this was I didn't want to be near it. I start to run and it followed me. Probably a bad decision. I trip and then I can feel the thing on top of me. It carefully lifts the side of my shirt up. What is it doing. If it's going to kill me can it make it fast. It bites my hip, sinking it's fangs into my skin. I let out a scream, probably the loudest I've ever screamed. It's fangs release as it runs off.
What just happened!
  I look down at my hip and see a giant bite mark that's bleeding pretty hard.
   I have to get to the hospital. If I don't then I'll bleed to death.
    I try to hold my hand on the bite to stop the bleeding. I finally get to the hospital and open the door. I use my hand that was covered in blood to open the door so I left a big bloody hand print. I basically almost dropped if a nurse hadn't caught me. I read her name tag "Mellisa McCall"

   "Help me."I say as I black out.
