Music of a Fallen Star

-Chapter 8-

It happened so fast, my life flashed before my very eyes however I hear someone call my name "Dawn!" I landed on the ground, opened my eyes seeing Erick holding me in his arms because he saved my life. I began to cry on his chest, I tried to contain myself but I couldn't, I guess he knew that too. He put me on his back and started carrying me home, at one point I stopped crying then I began to blush because Erick did the same thing when we were kids.
*Flashback*
When we were kids, Erick and I played in the grass fields far from any part of the city. One day while we were playing chase I ran into a rock pile then tripped on one, I rolled down the field and when I got back up part of the rock pile started to fall. Just standing there and not moving I thought I was a goner. Erick saved me by wrapping me in his arms and moving me out of the way, however his leg was injured with a horrible cut that was bleeding down his leg.I suddenly started crying and just like now he was carrying me even with his injury.
*Flashback Over*
the flow of tears stopped and so did Erick. We weren't at my house but at his, I was surprised but my mind was worrying if Erick got any injuries because of me. "I am fine stop worrying" he said and my eyes widened then I saw a deep cut on his cheek. When he opened the door he said "You're Staying here because its closer and it's late so going to your house would only hurt more plus how are you going to tell your parents what happened?" I didn't respond but anyway he guided me to the guest bedroom where he gave me some of his old pajamas which were big but I tied it with a hair band so it worked out. A few minutes past and I could hear Erick having trouble with his cut so I peeked in his room, knocked and he said I could come in. I grabbed the wipe and I began to gently amp his check to get the blood off, but I was blushing the whole time so I couldn't look him in the eyes. "Look Dawn it's just a cut so please..."
Ericks Pov
Dawn started crying and I couldn't think of any way to comfort her. "Erick it's a deep cut on your cheek and it's bleeding so no I will help you because the last time this happened you had to get stitches a-and..." I finally understood why Dawn was like this, her caring heart never left.
Ericks Pov over
Erick suddenly grabbed me again and I continued to cry like a baby saying "I am so sorry I never meant to give you those injuries." At one point I blacked out but I could feel Erick picking me up then putting me under the covers. The next day we walked to Café Chocolate to get breakfast. I got the double crispy bacon, cheddar and egg sandwich while Erick got a chocolate chip coffee and a doughnut. When we finished eating he walked me home then he helped me explain to my parents what happened and Susie was crying in relief. Erick left about a half an hour later and the rest of day trying not to think about that night. Monday came and I was back in class with Apollo and a rumor was spreading that I almost died. Apollo was hugging me like crazy so I told her everything and she went crazy. "Erick saved you! Ok this could make a great song or story let's get writing" but I said "No Apollo I won't write about something that I need to keep private" She agreed with me. Ding! The bell rang and class started, while we were studying history I got called to read a part of the chapter the class was reading. The classroom door opened and I saw Erick. "Sorry I'm late I had a Student Council meeting."
