Part 9. Fire

[SHOTO TODOROKI POV]
There is so much you do not know yet. About yourself and your sister. Those words from my father echoed in my head. My sister? Is there something he knows about Shiho that I don't? I shook my head and looked up at the screen. What happened before this?

I smiled slightly. Then I remembered Yaoyorozu being so embarrassed holding my hand she ran off. And she also apologized at least one hundred times saying she wasn't thinking right.

I shook the memory to the back of my head and looked at the competitors. It was the support girl who was on Midoriya's team and Iida. I laughed a bit. She was making a total fool out of Iida. It was more of a commercial than a fight. She even walked out of bounds once she finished advertising herself.

"Um alright! Tenya Iida is the winner! Let's take a quick break from this infomercial to get ready for the next fight, yeah!" Prez. Mic shouted. The crowd cheered and cheered for the next battle. Shiho is up next. I made my way around the building to sit while Shiho was getting ready for her match.

[MOMO YAOYOROZU POV]
I was looking for Todoroki to tell him that his sister was fighting soon. I walked behind the building and saw a tense half haired boy. I akwardly walked over and waved.

"Your sister's match is up next, are you coming up?" I asked nervously. I didn't want to embarrass myself again like I did earlier.

He didn't reply.
I sat across him and asked what was wrong.

"Well, my sister is fighting soon, and I'm pretty nervous," he replied.

I have him that "really?" look.
"Your sister is the strongest girl in the class. I think she'll be alright out there.

He sighed and loosened up. "I guess you're right"
I laughed at him slightly. I thought he would just be relaxed about this, but I guess he's just like all of us; nervous.

He held out his hand and helped me up, and tangled our fingers slightly. I felt my face getting hotter by the second. His hand ice was surprisingly warm. I folded my fingers down so we were fully holding hands.

He is my date to the dance after all.

[SHIHO TODOROKI POV]
I was sitting in the waiting room listening to music, waiting for my battle to be called. I purposely froze the door so no one could come in and bother me.

I wanted to focus on what I needed to do. I needed to win. I took out the headphones and started meditating, bringing my nervous heartbeat down, until I head knocking on the door.
