"You ready babe?" Mark calls from somewhere upstairs. Pulling the Saran Wrap over the plate of cookies Jack picks them up and walks to the base of the stairs."Is it to late too cancel?"
He hears Mark laugh and soon he appears at the top of the stairwell. "Just going out on a limb, but I'm going to say yes," Walking down the steps he lays a kiss on Jacks forehead when he reaches him. "Besides Robin and Kristen are lovely people who are going to have a lovely party,"
"Yeah well I'd rather watch Hallmark movies while eating these cookies and making out," Jack whines lifting up the plate of carefully decorated goodies. "Mainly eating the cookies," he casts a longing glance to the plate.
Mark hits him in the arm with his leather glove playfully. "We have time for making out and Hallmark movies later. For now it's time to be social butterflies and as for the cookies, I saved about ten for us,"
"This is why I married you,"
"Not for my dashing good looks?" Mark asks as he helps Jack slip on his coat.
"What? Never! I married you for the food,"
Shaking his head, Mark shrugs. "At least I had something allure to you,"
"Yeah Yeah baker boy let's go," Jack says tossing open the door and immediately he's hit with a massive blast of cold air. "Ah fuck," he mumbles, digging his hands deep into the pockets of his coat.
"It's brisk tonight," Mark says joining him at his side after he shuts the door.
"That's an understatement," Jack grumbles as he shuffles down the icy sidewalk, cookies still in hand. Quickly Jack hears Mark began to hum something. "Oh god no," he groans but Marks already in full swing.
"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock," he slowly eases in the words. "Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring," Dancing up ahead Mark slides on the ice. "Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun,"
Soon Jack can't help but laugh at his goofy husband singing and dancing on a frozen sidewalk.
"Sing with me baby," Mark calls scooping up Jack.
Jack rolls his eyes as he mumbles along the words with Mark. "Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock. Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time,"
The next thing they both know Jack and Mark are dancing/sliding over the ice as they giggly sing along the words. "What a bright time, it's the right time," Mark swings Jack out before finishing the line. "To rock the night away,"
"Jingle bell time is a swell time, to gliding in a one horse open sleigh," Shaking his butt Mark slaps his thighs which, of course, has Jack in stitches. "Giddy up horse, pick up your feet. Jingle around the clock,"
Spinning Jack they sing the last lines together. "That's the jingle bell. That's the jingle bell. That's the jingle bell rock!" Holding onto the last line extra long Mark dips him with one final twirl.
"Fuck I love you," Jack laughs, smiling.
"I love you too goof,"
