"Is it bad to wear a sweatshirt?" Jack asks appearing at the top of the stairs dressed in a deep purple sweater and jeans. "I feel like I'm going ball room dancing," he explains giving a small twirl.

Raising his eyebrows Mark smiles. "You look lovely for once,"

"For once! What's that suppose to mean?" Jack asks forging offense as he walks down the steps and once he reaches the bottom Mark pulls him in for a kiss.

"Oh don't worry. I'll always love you sweatshirt or not,"

"That's real reassuring," he laughs walking into the kitchen. "Hey did you grab the pie?"

"You mean the one we're picking up at the grocery store?"

He pops his head back out of the kitchen. "I thought I got one already,"

"Remember?" Mark prods and Jack gives him a blank look. "Last night we got drunk and ate it for dinner. Sound familiar?"

Jack shrugs. "No but does that sounds like us," then he catches sight of the clock. "Fuck we'll be late for your family's if we don't leave now,"

So he slips on his coat and they run to the car together, trying to get to the car before they freeze.

"Fuck it's way to cold for November," Jack says rubbing his hands together and Mark ushers him to start the car.

"We will be late if you do not start this car," He says, ready to just get it over, and Jack raises his hands in defense before starting it up, and driving away.

After the quick trip to pick up another pie they finally reach Marks childhood house that's currently packed with every relative known to man.

"Jeez I'm actually nervous," Jack says and beside him, Mark rubs his shoulder.

      "They'll love you,"

"Yeah but... don't you remember how they reacted when you brought over Ethan?"

Mark nods, looking at the windows of his house. He couldn't forget that. "They've changed," he says turning back to look at Jack. "Really,"

Jack smiles. "Okay I believe you. Are you ready?"

"No, but I guess I have to be don't I?"

Opening the car doors they take the pie and approach the house. Taking deep breaths all the way up the sidewalk when he finally does reach the front doorstep he feels like slightly okay and only when Jack takes his hand does he feel truly okay.

Jack knocks on the door and in seconds someone's opened it to meet them.

"Mark!" His brother, Noah, says. "Didn't think you'd show,"

    "Oh?" Mark breaths. "You didn't?"

"You must be Jack," Noah says holding out his hand and Jack shakes it.

    "Sure am,"

"Here come inside," he says ushering them in. "I'm Marks brother, Noah,"

"Lovely to meet you. It's almost like a second Mark," Jack jokes and Noah laughs, taking the pie.

"I'll put this in the kitchen for after dinner," then he's off and Mark and Jack simply stand in the door, still hand in hand.

"He's nice," Jack comments and Mark nods. He is. Always had been but then again he wasn't why Mark was basically sweating just standing in the house.
