Guardian

Chapter 2

I opened the door to my house and huffed. What a day, I thought. I dropped my backpack onto the floor and went into the kitchen to make myself a little snack.

I put some nutella on some crackers. Simple but delicious. I ate them all in like one minute.

I jogged up the stairs to my room. I had loads of homework I needed to do. I'm tempted to skip it and fail. But my mom wouldn't allow that.

I started on my math, then history, and then Spanish, I hate schoolwork ew. Anyways right as I finished I heard the door slam close "HONEY IM HOME!!!!" Mom screamed. Jesus, she is so loud.

I jumped off my bed and ran downstairs. "Did you get it?" I asked in one breath. She nodded. On Friday nights we always get Chinese food. She set the bag on the counter. I grabbed the noddles and chicken.

I started to chow down. My mom just shook her head at me. I could care less though. I love my Chinese food.

Later after watching a movie I fell straight asleep. But what I didn't know... was that he, my guardian, was watching me sleep.

I woke up at about 1 in the morning staring into those familiar blue eyes. "You're... You're here." I whispered. I saw him smile and nod his head. "Who are you? What's your name?" I asked. "I cant tell you..." He answered frowning. "Why not?" I pleaded. "Because... Then you'll tell people about me. Then they'll kill me. I'm supposed to protect you, how can I do that when I'm dead?"

He does have a point, but he can trust me. Its probably too early for him to know that though. I have only seen him three times and this is our first conversation. So I just let out a weak "ok."

"I'm sorry, I wish I could tell you." He apologized. "Its ok don't worry about it." I said giving him a weak smile.

Then a heard someone walking up the stairs.

"Hes here... Why on earth is he here?! Hide!" He pushed me into the closet, "Do not make a sound." He whispered. I nodded my head.

Who's here? I wondered. I was afraid, really afriad.
