"Teeth? Kent? Kite- Kelp- what- Jesus, Pidge, your handwriting is terrible."

"It's Keith, actually. Thanks."

"Ah, sorry about that. Maybe I should stick with taking orders instead of this klutz." The man pointed to his co-worker who proceeded to clean off the counter and accidentally topple over a stack of cups. Keith chuckled.

He got his drink and sat down on a comfortable black chair that matched the walls and other furniture. This cafe was a new opening in his town called "Starstrucks" and Keith decided to give their tea a try.

He sipped on his tea while reading a newspaper placed on the table next to him. He had a lot of catching up to do with this town. Ever since his parents died, Keith stayed in his house alone pondering life's meaning and stuck in an empty abyss.

His maids would roam the large house, looking for more work to do than dusting and occasionally cleaning the surfaces around. Last week they suggested he go to this cafe as an opportunity to get out there and do little baby steps. Keith would never say it out loud, but they were the closest thing he had to being friends.

Soon, Keith was sipping from an empty cup and he went to the counter to get a refill.

"Oh, sorry, we don't do refills," the man said, looking nervously at his co-worker.

"Oh, well I'd like another drink then. I've never done this before." Keith rubbed the back of his neck, underneath his mullet, in shame.

"Never? You haven't been to a cafe before? No way!" The man widened his eyes in wonder. It revealed two sparkling blue eyes and unbelievably long eyelashes for a man. "You must be in your twenties, and you've never gotten coffee before work at a cafe? I can't believe it!"

"Calm down, Lance. Geez." A short girl with light brown hair and glasses appeared next to him.

"Im only 18, and I don't work."

"What, you livin' in your parents' basement or something?" Lance furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"My-my parents- no, I uh, live alone." Keith choked on the mention of his parents. He realized how stupid he must've sounded.

"Oh. No income? What?" Lance pushed. The girl nudged Lance harshly. "Stop prying, Lance! It's his business. Sorry, I'm Pidge and this dummy here is Lance," she rolled her eyes at him and he stuck out his tongue at her. Keith awkwardly chuckled.

"So, what's a bright young man like yourself doing living alone? You in a relationship?" Lance winked at Keith, making him tense up. "Wh-what?"

"Sharing a bed with anyone? I-" Lance was interrupted by Pidge who scoffed. "Oh shut it. He's obviously not interested." She walked away to continue her cleaning up.

Lance stared at Keith with a smirk on his face. "So?"

"I- I don't have anyone- I'm not in a relationship, no." Keith stuttered out.

"Hmm, you should come by here tomorrow. This place has a special "theme" on Friday's, if you know what I mean."

Keith had no idea what Lance meant.

The man sensed his confusion and explained. "A night club. This place gets turnt, man. Ladies half naked, men, the real hotties if you ask me," Lance gestured wildly at his surroundings, imagining as if he were there.

Keith half smiled and looked down at his shoes.

"I don't know, I don't exactly get out much. How does a nightclub work, really?"

Lance paused his dramatic show and looked seriously at Keith.

"For real? Okay, well, just show up late tomorrow night when it gets busy and find me. Wear something for a party."

Keith decided not to tell Lance he had never been to a party, it was too much new information.

Keith nodded and decided to get out of there as quickly as he could. It was 2pm and he only had 30 hours before the party. Not only did he not understand where he was going, but he also had no clue what to wear.

At his home, Keith googled "men party wear" to get an idea of what he was supposed to wear. Because of his inheritance from his parents, he had plenty of fancy clothes. He chose similar clothing to one of the images and looked in the mirror. Just as he did, one of the maids knocked on his door and walked in. She looked at him funny, but went off to clean his room.

Keith took a chance.

"Hey, Angela, do you think this is okay for a party? Night club?" He gestured to his clothing, and Angela stifled a laugh.

"Give me one second, sir." She went down the hallway and grabbed another maid, Kathryn. They returned to his room and gave him a long look.

After muttering to each other for a few moments, Angela spoke up.

"Sir, do you mind if we suggest some clothing?"

Keith nodded quickly and led them to his closet. The two women, who were in their 30s, searched through his endless closet and eventually pulled out random pieces of clothing until they were content with their choice.

Keith blushed when he saw what they had picked out for him, but nodded.

"And this will make me look good?"

"Yes, sir." The two maids giggled in excitement. Keith had a feeling they knew he was trying to look good for someone.

Keith called the maids back in once he was fully dressed and looked in the mirror. They both blushed.

"This'll do."
