Keith parked his car outside Starstrucks and sighed heavily.

Just apologize. Get it over with.

He nodded to himself and got out of the car. It only took his a few seconds before his mind found itself to last night, Lance and him dancing together, hands all over-

Ggggfskjsns.

Dhdhksd.

Keith smacked himself in the head and tried to think of something else. The weather. Clouds. Soft clouds. Soft hair. Lance's hair. Lance's hair in his fingers last night.

Fuck.

He was in trouble.

The bell above the door rang as Keith walked into the cafe, immediately grabbing Lance's attention behind the counter.

"Keith! What'll it be?"

"Lance- uh, surprise me? I want to apolo-"

"Hmm. How about raspberry tea?"

"What- no! That ruins the surprise! Don't tell me. Anyway, I need to talk to you." Keith sat at the bar that looked very different from the night before, without all the alcohol and more crappo-cheesey stuff. Flappy china. Mock-e-auto. Whatever.

"Talk about what?" Lance asked as he gathered the materials to start a drink that Keith had trouble following. Was that glitter?

"I need to apologize for being so weird last night," he said, looking anywhere other than Lance, "I didn't really think. I just did, you know?"

Lance paused, putting his concoction to a stop.

"No! No, no, no," Lance assured him, "It wasn't bad. I liked it. Unless you felt weird about it. In which case I'm sorry you felt weird. Because I enjoyed it, a little too much ha, because the.. yeah. Sorry."

Lance quickly went back to work with his drink and Keith chuckled. "Okay, I'm glad we're on the same page then."

Lance smiled, plopping a pink and purple swirled drink in front of him. It was topped with whipped cream and so much glitter. "Here you go--one Unicorn Frappuccino."

"What the hell?"

"Just taste it, Keith."

He took the straw cautiously and sipped, looking suspiciously at Lance.

"It tastes... like a unicorn. How did this become a thing?"

"No idea. Hey, my break is in two minutes, do you want to sit with me?" Lance reached for another cup and began making another drink for himself.

Keith agreed and soon the two were sitting at a table by the window, people watching.

"Please tell me he's wearing cowboy boots with shorts as a joke. And a camo t-shirt? I can't look."

Lance laughed and took a sip of his drink.

"You know, I had a lot of fun last night. I really like you."

Keith turned his attention from the window to the boy sitting across from him. "Thank you. I mean- me too. It's been a while since I've been with someone like you."

Lance choked a bit on his drink. Did he hear him correctly?

"Been with someone like..."

"Oh, I just meant that I haven't, uh, hung out with someone like..you.." Keith blushed and looked back at the window. Of course he liked Lance. He wanted to date him and kiss him and do more than grind on him at a bar. But, not yet. He couldn't let Lance know. It was too soon!

"Well do you want to be together? Dating and stuff?" Lance tilted his head to try and catch Keith's eyes.

Keith opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. Lance was being so? Direct? He decided to play the same game.

"I mean, I'd love to get to know you more. We don't have to date unless you want to."

"I would be a fool to decline an offer from you, ha," Lance grinned and winked, lightening the mood.

"Well Lance, would you do the honors of going on a date with me?"

He didn't miss a beat.

"Of course."
