Hayley had a very long day, and when she came home to an empty house, it didn't help. Derek had left the house a mess, with laundry still in the washer and dishes piled up in the sink. All of which he promised to clean before he left that day. We'll be didn't. She left a very angry voice mail to her husband and cleaned up the mess. She went to bed angry, he wasn't supposed to be home until later that night, but she most definitely did not want to wait for him. It was about 2:30 when Derek arrived home. He listened to the voicemail, and read her texts and felt bad that he did do as he had promised, but he was late to work, he left in a hurry. He walked upstairs, gym bag in hand, and went into the shared bedroom. He looked around the corner to his sleeping wife. He walked to her and kissed her forehead.

"I love you, baby." He whispered to her. Derek went to sort out his things and take a quick shower before he got into bed. Inside the master bathroom he heard Hayley whimpering, crying almost. He walked out and looked at her on the bed, she was jerking in her sleep. He knew she was having a nightmare.

"Hayley, Hay- wake up, you're ok, it's ok." He nudged her awake and when she came to and saw Derek she stated to cry tears of relief.

"You're ok, it was just a dream. You're ok. Just breathe, deep breathes. Shh." He held her in the chair beside her half of the bed, meant for a baby to be rocked in when she would feed in the night. Hayley calmed down, and kept looking and cupping Derek's face, to make sure he was actually there. She spoke.

"We had a fight, you walked out. You left and the next thing I heard of you was from the police. The baby was born, she was beautiful. We went to the hospital and you were unrecognizable. You have been hit by a car, and they kept going, and no one noticed you, and you got run over. You had a seizure, right in front of us. They took you to surgery. You never came out. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean what I said." He held her tighter than he was before.

"I'm right here, you don't need to worry, I would not leave you or our baby. Just breathe." Her breathing regulated, and her breathing got slower. The next morning they woke up on the chair from the night before. Derek noticed Hayley was still asleep, and carefully put her back to bed.

(A/N - it is very short but I wanted to get something up. I've been at camp for the past week, and will again this week, then I have school. I'm trying to still write, but I NEED PROMPTS. The more prompts, the more oneshots I will put out!!!)
