drabble #2, to ashley.
p.s. this is the drabble that started it all :3 I don't know if anyone from ask remembers reading it, but yeah. this is it.
there were so many times jack's wished that she would see him. so many moments when she thought she was alone, he wished he could pull her into his arms, stroke her beautiful white hair, and tell her she wasn't. but how would she ever believe in his existence if she didn't believe in her own goodness.

jack tried to cup her cheek. he raised his hand up and imagined how her skin would feel like against his. he imagined a smile on her face, a smile directed at him, not to thin air. but even before he could even will himself to show some hint of himself, she turned away, going right through him.
jack could hear the others chatting to themselves. they were wondering how long it would take for him to give up that pesky dream of his. that she would never see him. she had an entire kingdom down there that didn't even believe in her. not even her sister. but jack wasn't going to give up. he believed that as long as one person believed in her, she would be able to believe in herself, too. after all, isn't that what saved the guardians?
she was alone. she knew that. yet, something tugged at the back of her mind. at her conscience that seemed to tell her otherwise. that someone, like her, was out there. and they were there for her. that that someone would always be there for her. but she just couldn't find it in herself to believe.
