drabble #3, to trish for sharing somewhat the same name and well, the help on this part
elsa fell asleep to the lulling of the wind. the moon shined down on her, whispering to her. she fell into unconsciousness, trying to understand what the moon was saying. but she could only make out one word. a name. who is jack?
then just as her eyes fluttered to a close, he appeared. the sudden gust of wind was soft, cold, a feeling she knew all too well, which was why she smiled. kneeling down, he gently removed the hair from her face- force of habit. Jack desperately yearned for her touch, the one that sent tingles up and down his spine. he only saw her, watched from afar with grave concern. they were like magnets, when she moves he moves. he knew it was hopeless, he thanked the moon because it was their only communication. maybe one day, he'll be there when she wakes up. watch as her mesmerizing eyes see him, the smile that could make ice melt and waver any storm. but until then, he will always be the moon, the star, and the guardian. he quietly pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before disappearing.
she said his name. she thanked him. did she know? he had watched her the entire night, whispering things he wished she could hear. he told her about how beautiful he thought she was, inside & out. he told her everything they could do together, if she just believed. "thank you jack." maybe she does.
again, that name. the word just slipped out of her lips as if someone were there. that jack- whoever he was, was there. but she didn't know anyone named jack. yet she couldn't help the leap of her heart, the beginning of a grin, or the hopeful thought that someone - jack- was there. for her. "jack?"
she said his name again. his name. could she see him. "elsa?" he whispered. her head turned to his direction. but she stared right through him. jack's hopes fell. but he moved closer, squatting down beside her. slowly, he raised a hand to her face,. "please, elsa; believe in yourself. and in me."
elsa felt a presence. it was unusual. being isolated in her room for so long, she got used to the lingering presence of the staff. but this one, it wasn't like it was just there, a shadow in the background. it was more of a comforting presence that seemed to strum her every core. but just like that, it was gone.
She murmured the name with small smile, like a secret, sacred, as if it was only for her keep. Elsa jumped up from her spot and began to look around. Maybe this Jack was still here. Again, like before her heart began to beat erratically, a wide grin was now prominent on her face.
"Jack…”
Just as her back turned, a snowflake appeared gracefully falling down onto the ground...
