Chapter 18

(2 months later)

Lately has been all about cravings. I’ve craved anything from tuna for supper to strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Also its been about fighting. I’ve gotten good at it. Well good for being 8 months pregnant.

I like to sneak attack Jack. But I’m not very good at attacking from behind. My stomach is huge.

But I still have like 4 months to go. I frowned. 4 months of eating like a pig and swollen feet.

Me and Zack have been the same. A kiss or two a day. Him sometimes sleeping on the couch in my room because of my stupid night terrors.

“Zack…” I whined. Sitting on the couch watching a movie Jack picked out for my learning. He looked up great fighting movies. I’m watching The Karate Kid.

Zack looked at me. Then frowned. Bringing out his little notepad. He knew me so well.

“What are you craving?” He asked. He was the one that bought me stuff I was craving. Because Jack would rather stay at home and watch over me. My body guard.

“Ben & Jerry’s Phish food” I smiled.

“Anything else?”

“No. just that”

“Call me if you have another craving” He grabbed the keys to his new car. A nice Jeep.

“Thanks!” I called after him.

I could hear Jack coming out of his room. I pulled myself off of the couch as fast as I could. (Which wasn’t fast)

Then hid behind the stairs. Ready for the ambush. He trotted down the stairs. And I sprung on him. Well sort of. I managed to wrap my right leg around his waist. To where my heel was pressed against his lung. So if I pulled my foot towards me. It would knock the wind out of him.

My arm was around his neck. Ready to choke him.

“Gotcha” I whispered into his ear.

He smiled. Then chuckled lightly. I released my grip on him. And he turned to face me. He looked amused.

“Good job. Your getting better” He complemented.

I smiled. Proud. Then I gasped. As a horrible pain hit my stomach. It was sharp and horrid. I gasped again.

“Samantha?” Jack leaned down to help me. I was gripping onto the back of the couch.

“Ah. Something’s wrong” I gasped.

“Lay on the couch” He ordered. Helping me over to it.

“I’m better now” I muttered. That was weird.

“What do you think it was?”
