Chapter thirteen

    I have to wake up. I need to get up and get ready for work. Then I have to talk to scar. I want to know how she feels. She drank way too much and she hasn’t done that since she met Zane. And Zane stopped drinking like he did. I have a text from scar. I wonder what she wants.

<Scar: good morning, I was wondering if we can have lunch today.>

<me: that sounds fine. Where are we meeting?>

<scar: meet me at the park. I have to talk to you.>

<Me: okay.>

“Alright I’m going to work.” I tell Jackie.

 “I’ll see you for dinner.” Jackie reminds me.

<Zane: where did you go?>

<me: to work.>

<Zane: I want to talk to you about that.>

<Me: what is it?>

<Zane: let’s go out for lunch.>

<me: I already made plans. I’m going out with scar.>

<Zane: then I’ll go see you right now.>

“Hey.” Zane says out loud.

“May I help you?” Kris asks Zane.

“Yes you may. I need to speak with Anne.” Zane tells her.

“Anne!” Kris screams out.

“Yes.” I say.

“There’s a man looking for you.” Kris tells me.

“I was wondering when you were coming. Let’s go to my office.” I tell Zane.

“What do you want to talk about? And make it fast. Scar is going to be here in a few.” I remind him.

“I work with my dad now. And not because I’m his son but because that that year I was in college helped me. I’m still going but apparently I know enough to work there. My dad says if I continue like this I might get the company.” Zane says excitedly.

“I’m really excited for you. What college are you going to?” I ask him.

“There’s an on line school that will help me get my degree. I was thinking if you wanted to do the same.” Zane tells me.

“Well I do but I think it would be weird for me to that since I’m almost done. I’ve taking like twenty units each semester. Plus I have been taking summer and winter classes. And that’s about it. Thank you for the offer though. And I’m really happy for you.” I tell him.

“Do I get a kiss?” he asks me.

“Not right now. The girls are looking at us. And I think scar is on her way here.” I tell him.

“Let’s go bitch!” scar screams out.

“Alright then let’s go. I’ll see you later.” I tell Zane.

“What did you want to tell me?” I ask scar.

“Well last night when I was home with teddy I was acting weird. I told him that I wanted to marry him already. That he was jerk for not marrying me sooner. Um well we want to get this weekend.” Scar finally tells me.

“What?!” I scream at her.

“The wedding is this weekend.” Scar repeats herself.

“Great now I have to make some calls.” I snap at her.
