Aleks's POV

Blearily, I came to. The first thing I noticed was that my head hurt. I passed a hand over my eyes groggily. I sat up, slowly so as to not further aggravate my aching head. I glanced at the clock. Damn, I'd slept in. It was well past noon.

After a few more minutes of waking up, I moved to get out of bed, but ended up falling on the floor as my legs were rather tangled in the blanket.

"Ah, fuck," I muttered, standing up properly. It was then that I realised that I was completely naked.

'Oh, right,' I thought to myself. That happened.

"Are you alright?" A voice asked, floating through the apartment from the direction of the kitchen.

"He stayed? That's new." I muttered. Louder, I added, "Yeah, I'm fine, I just... uh..."

"Fell?" Kevin asked, walking into the room, noticing me on the ground. He snickered and then walked over, offering me a hand. I accepted it, trying to ignore the sparks of electricity it sent shooting up my arm. I stood, motionless for a second until I noticed Kevin's eyes, lingering in lower regions. I felt my face heat up, and scrambled to pick the blanket off the floor to cover myself with it.

Kevin looked up, meeting my eyes. He grinned. "Breakfast is ready, by the way." Without another word, he left the room, leaving me confused and wondering whether I was dreaming.

After I found some clothes, I walked into the kitchen and found myself greeted by the smell of bacon. Kevin gestured wordlessly for me to sit at the table, which I did, and a plate was placed in front of me.

"Thank you," I mumbled, picking up my knife and fork. Seconds later, Kevin sat across from me with a plate of his own. We sat in silence for about five minutes, all of which were stiflingly awkward.

"So, uh," I said, attempting to make conversation.  "This is good." I gestured to the food.

"Thank you."

Silence again.

I finished eating. I looked at Kevin, who was still focused on his own plate. For a moment, I studied Kevin's features, admiring them.

As it happened, Kevin was just as attractive as my drunk self had thought. Normally, the only time I see Kevin is when we're both drunk, so I figured the blurry and unfocused memories of Kevin's face (among other things) were things I was seeing through whiskey coloured glasses. To an extent, that was true. Those memories didn't do justice, however, as I realised Kevin was much more attractive than I'd initially thought.

"Are you okay?" A voice broke through my thoughts. I realised I must have been staring at the other man for about two minutes now, at which point Kevin had noticed.

"Uh, yeah," I said, looking away instantly. "Sorry," I muttered.
