Pushing Away

Skay looked at the roof. She lied on the bed. Her pillow was wet with tears. Sally was completely ignoring her and always glared at her if there gazes met. Skay sighed and tossed in her bed. She felt as if her whole life was ruined by....

"Kiko." She angrily said. How dare Sally blame her when it was Kiko's fault? Skay was gonna get revenge and avenge Midnight Berry's death. Anger bubbled up inside her. She dug her unsheathed claws into her pillow. Her sadness turned into anger. "He's gonna pay. I swear Midnight Berry I'll avenge your death with Sally."

Skay slowly got up. Her hair matted in knots from crying. Skay collapsed in pain. Clutching her side she prodded herself up again. Skay opened the door and walked clumsily downstairs. Everyone glanced from what they were doing. BEN dropped his controller, wide eyed. Clockwork turned around from doing the dishes. She gasped then dropped the plate, she covered her mouth. Eyeless Jack dropped his kidney, equally surprise as Clockwork. Masky dropped his water. Everyone's attention was on Skay.

"Oh Skay..." Toby ran to her side and hugged her. "I'm sorry this happened to you."

Skay stared at Toby. What was he talking about. She realized he was talking about he face. Skay looked into the puddle of water that Masky dropped. Skay touched her face. It was a long scar from her fore head to her cheek. She had other cuts and bruises. Skay stumbled backwards in horror. So that's how I look like now. The thought struck her like a snake bite.

"I'm a monster...." Skay whispered horrified. "...A horrible monster."

"No Skay, your a wolf not a monster." Toby put her hand on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" Skay nearly clawed him and he backed away wide eyed.

Sally for once since Midnight Berry died, looked at Skay with concern. Hoodie stared at his feet. Sally stood behind him. Skay felt like a stranger to them. She wanted to run far away and never come back but Laughing Jack was blocking the door.

"Skay your a brave girl and I know that. Your not a monster." Sally spoke to her for the first time since Berry died. "Your my friend."

Skay's eyes filled with tears as she hugged Sally. Sally gave into the hug. Skay cried into her shoulder. What would she do without her friend. Skay broke away and went back to her room. She lied on her bed and cried into her pillow. Skay had cried herself to sleep.

In her dream she saw a figure standing in the moorland. Skay squinted her eyes and covered her mouth in shock.

"M-Mother?" Skay saw her mother walk towards her. "Mother!" Skay ran to Yaki (her mom) and hugged her gratefully. 

"My beautiful child, You've grown so much." Yaki hugged her child. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here to help you."

"No that doesn't matter your here now." Skay choked on tears.

"Skay let's go get your brother." Yaki howled and soon enough her brother came running.

"Skay Skay!!" Her brother ran into her. He held her tight.

"Rine your here!" Skay hugged her mother and brother. "Your safe here with me." She didn't want here dream to end.

"I missed you little sis." Rine messed up her hair. "Your so big!"

"I've missed you too." Skay put her head in his chest.

"We're always with you Skay but remember..." Yaki kissed her forehead. ".... I'll love you no matter what."

"I do too, Skay." Rine began to disappear and tears came out of his eyes. Yaki began to disappear too.

"Wait do go!" Skay begged but they kept fading away. "DON'T LEAVE ME MOTHER, BROTHER!" She cried. They faded away fully. "No. Yaki, Rine! Don't leave me..."

Skay woke up in her bed. The room seemed darker and lonely. Her mother and brother visited her. I miss you. Her heart mixed with sadness and pain. She's with me though. Skay felt so cold. She wanted to be nuzzled up against her mother, warm and safe. Skay's bottom lip trembled.

"I love you too Yaki, Rine." Skay buried her head in her pillow and cried. She lied there crying and knowing that she might never see her family again.
