Kiko sat next to Skay. She was lied on the bed. Even of she was right there, he felt so alone. He looked at her scars again. He began to tear up, but wiped his eyes. Nemesis walked in a put some waffles in front of him.

"Here and if Skay wakes up give her some waffles too." Nemesis said.

"I don't know if she will." Kiko swallow the big lump in his throat.

"She will don't worry." Nemesis sat next to him. "Is she your girlfriend? Because it seems like it."

"No. Well she used to be but that was when...." He trailed off remembering when they fought. Kiko began to tear up again.

"Kiko you can tell me. I always keep secrets." Nemesis put her hand on his shoulder.

"She brought me back to the Mansion. We had so much fun there. Then I kissed her and we became a pair. Smile Dog always wanted to play with her since she was a werewolf. But I betrayed her. I never wanted to but she got so angry that she punched me and a fight broke out. It was horrifying." Each word he said had a crack in it.

"Damn. You screwed up badly. But she'll probably forgive you if you show her that she can trust you." Nemesis said.

"How?" Kiko whispered.

"That's for you to find out because I honestly have no fucking clue. Take some advice from Lil Miss Rarity too. Just not from Radioface. He's a dork." Nemesis winked goodbye and walked out the door.

Kiko sighed and ate one pancake. He was gonna save the other one for Skay. He lied down next to her. Kiko touched her face. He wanted her eyes to open so badly. He wanted to hear her voice telling him that she forgave him. He wanted her to smile, that beautiful smile. Kiko brushed his fingers through her black hair. So thick and glossy.

Suddenly her eyes fluttered open. Joy flared through Kiko. She made a little whining sound and looked around. When her gaze fell on Kiko, they weren't angry like usual. Skay just stared at him, not saying a word. She sniffed the air and her gaze fell on the waffle. Skay looked hungrily at it. Kiko slowly pushed it to her, indicating that she could eat it. Skay dived into the waffles. When she was done she stared at Kiko again.

She got up and nearly fell. Kiko began to help her but she got up. Skay limped over to Kiko. She stared at him for a while. Skay touched his face. Her eyes lit up and she hugged him. Kiko was startled at first then he hugged her. Neither of them let go. Had she forgiven me?

"I thought you were dead." Kiko whispered

Skay's legs started wobbling and she fell. Kiko picked her up and set her on the bed. She didn't take her eyes off him. Still not saying anything. Kiko sat next to bet and began petting her hair. She gave a little squeak of joy and started purring. Ears popped on her head and her tail grew out. Skay kept purring happily. He smiled.

"You like that don't you?" Kiko kept petting her.

Whenever he pulled away she started making a sad whining noise. So he kept petting her. She didn't talk though. Can she talk? Skay then purred so loud that Slaughtershy walked in.

"I see your friend is awake." The Pegasus said. She galloped to Skay and smiled. "Hello my name is Slaughtershy! And you must be Skay."

Skay just stared at Slaughtershy. Kiko thought maybe it reminded her of a certain pink unicorn with black hair. Skay got up and began to touch Slaughtershy's wings. Radioface walked in and saw Skay.

"Um Slaughtershy? Don't you mind her touching your wings?" Radioface asked. "Because you normally would hate that."

"Oh not at all." Slaughtershy giggled.

Skay curiously went up to Radioface. She began to play with his eyes. Skay made quiet happy chirping noises. Radioface mouthed "What the hell Is she doing?" to Kiko.

Kiko mouthed back "She wants to play with you."

Radioface nodded and began petting her hair. Skay happily started purring. Jealousy bubbled up in Kiko's stomach. But at least she was alive. And happy. He watched her run around barking with glee. She rolled around on the floor. But she never talked.

"We gotta go Skay but Kiko will stay with you. You like being with Kiko don't you?" Radioface talked to her sweetly. Slaughtershy and him walked out the door

Skay blinked then let out a happy laugh. Still she didn't talk. She crawled back in her bed and made a little squeak. Kiko sat next to her. They stayed in the room for what seemed like centuries. Skay played with a little bell that was set on the counter.

"Do you wanna go outside?" Kiko asked her.

Skay started yapping happily. Kiko helped her get up and walked her out the door. The sky had cleared up and it the air smell rich with flowers. Skay skipped across the moorland and rolled around on the flowers. Kiko laughed as she tried to catch a butterfly. She tripped over a rock and almost immediately got back up. She then eventually gave up and rolled back into the flowers. Skay patted an empty spot next to her indicating for him to lay next to her. Kiko lied down next to her. The flowers gently swayed in the wind.

"I saw the small cat." Skay whispered for the first time.

Kiko stared at her with joy. She talked! He was so happy to hear her voice again. But she continued.

"It was white and it protected me. It talked to me. It never told me it's name, I already knew it. Nashoni was his name. The tip of his tail was black. Nashoni walked with me in the endless sky. We played together. Then he disappeared. I called out for him but he never returned. I only heard his voice. He told me that I would see him again. Soon." Skay stopped there.

"Where did you meet Nashoni? What was he like?" Kiko asked.

"He was perfect." Skay stared at the sky.

Kiko thought maybe she had see the cat when she was in her long sleep. Was the cat she saw was in the after life? At least she could talk now.

"I forgive you, Kiko." Skay held his hand. "I need you by my side for what's coming. Radioface, Slaughtershy, Lil Miss Rarity, and Nemesis."

"Y-You forgive me?" Kiko's heart swelled with joy. "That's all I needed to hear."

"I love you Kiko." Skay put a flower on his chest. She picked a rose then placed it on his chest. Then a dandelion, blue bonnet, tulips, violets, another rose, and a few others. "There now you look as pretty as the flowers." She giggled.

Kiko laughed and put a rose in her hair. "Now you look as pretty as a butterfly."

Skay giggled then curled up at his side. She let out a squeak of joy.

"I hope you forgiven me for my old acts too. Sorry for punching you." He murmured.

"Don't worry I forgive you but the real question is, will you forgive yourself?" Skay said.

Kiko thought about that for a moment. He wasn't sure if he would but all that mattered was that she forgave him, and that she was alive.

"When you said that you had a mate much prettier than me, did you really mean it?" Skay looked him in the eyes. "And tell truth."

"I was angry and jealousy overcame me." Kiko told the truth.

"Ok. Now." Skay turned wolf. "Play!!"

Kiko smiled and turned dragon. They both played wrestle but Kiko had to be careful not to hurt her. Kiko was just happy to be with her. This time he wouldn't hurt her. He was gonna protect her from anything. Even his own kind.

I'd rather betray the Shadow Crosses than Skay.
