I Love You

Two years have passed since Liu, Xena, and Fade came. Skay had seen Kiko many times and had fight a lot. Skay never let him hurt the others. Fade had grown to Skay like a flower. Fade loved her but was too shy to admit it. What if she rejects me? What if she leaves me? He constantly thought. He would sometimes stare at her and admire her beautiful features. Fade looked in the mirror and sighed. He was a ghost, she'll never love him. He decided it was time to tell her. I have to do it one day. Bursting with confidence and fear, he walked out the door and to Skay. She was with Xena, talking about the wilderness. Typical Skay. Skay noticed him and waved.

"Hey Fade! I'm just telling Xena about the mountains and forest." Skay grinned.

I love it when she grins.

"Well can I ask you something?." Fade squeaked.

"Aw your so adorable when you squeak! And ask away!" She turned her rolly chair in a circle.

"It's a nice night and the moonlight is shining so would you like....to go on a walk with me?" Fade squeaked again and blushed.

"Oh yeah sure! The moon is pretty..." Skay gazed at the bright white circle in the sky.

She jumped off the chair and waved goodbye to Xena.

Xena waved back then sat on Liu's lap and cuddled with him.
That'll be me and Skay one day.

They walked out the door and headed into the forest. They walked quietly, enjoying the moonlight. He admired her beautiful hair that shined in the light. That black glossy hair.

"Fade? FADE?" Skay waved her hand in his face.

"Oh uh sorry..." Fade murmured. Then he forced himself to be confident. "Skay there was a different reason why I wanted to bring you out here..."

Skay suddenly froze and pricked her ears. "I hear something." She sniffed the air. "It smells like.... Dragon." She turned half wolf.

Great. He didn't need Kiko coming and ruining his chance with her.

"I KNOW YOUR OUT THERE YOU COLD BLOODED LIZARD! COME OUT!" Skay unsheathed her claws. "NOW." 

The dragon boy casually walked out and looked at Fade with disgust. "So your dating a ghost!? Yeah and I'm worse." He sneered.

"Oh shut up! At least he didn't betray me for some lizard freaks!" Skay snapped.

"Go away already! You do this every time I'm with her!" Fade spat.

"I do it so you won't steal her for me! I loved her first!" Kiko hissed.

"And I'll love her last!" Fade faced his dragon breath.

"Fade, you love me?" Skay looked up at him. Her eyes wide with deep love.

Fade forgot she was here for a second. He blushed a deep red. "Yes that's why I brought you out here. To say.... I love you."

"Fade...." Skay whispered.

"NO!" Kiko threw a branch at Fade. He tackled Fade. "SKAY. IS. MINE."

Fade tried to block the punches that Kiko gave him. God I hate him!

"NO KIKO!" Skay jumped Kiko and punched him.

Kiko got up panting. His face had some blood on it. Fade just sat there crying softly.

"I don't like you anymore, Kiko! Get that through your mind! And don't you dare hurt anyone I love! You already killed Midnight Berry." Skay hissed at him.

Kiko stared at her. Skay helped up Fade and hugged Fade. Kiko had tears coming out of his eyes. His heart breaking. "I'll love you no matter what Skay. And you know that." He whispered.

Skay ignored him and began to lead Fade away from Kiko.

"Please Skay! I said I was sorry! I can change! I'll change for you!!" Kiko cried. Then his attitude changed. "Fine then! I already have a different mate! She's much prettier than you ever were!"

Skay and Fade disappeared from his sight. Finally we're away from that jerk.

"I really do love you Skay." Fade lifted her chin to see her. "So much."

"I know." Skay whispered. "And I love you too."

Fade's heart swelled with something he hadn't felt in a long time. Love. He realized his mission was completed. Fade could leave now. He began to disappear slowly.

"Fade what's happening to you!?" Ska exclaimed.

"I'm going to the next world. It's my time to leave. Goodbye Skay." Fade touched her face one last time.

"Wait don't leave please!" Skay cried.

"Do me one favor. Please forget me so you'll be happy." Fade whispered.

"I can't forget you. You gave me too much to remember." Skay said as she cried.

Fade kissed her then completely disappeared. Skay felt like claws had just torn through her heart. She collapsed to her knees and silently weep. She got up and walked back to the house, still crying. They all saw her tears and immediately asked what was wrong.

"Fade is gone." She whispered softly yet clearly.
