Chapter 6

**Matt's POV**

"Matt, do you really love me?"

I actually do. I now know that love at first sight is real, because it happened to me. I really love y/n, but I don't know if I should say that or not. Would it be weird? I feel like it would be. I just met her, she'd think I'm crazy. But I can't lie to her...

"Ma-"

"Yes." I cut her off. There's no going back now. I might've just made the worst decision of my life, or maybe it was the best. I look over at y/n. Her face looks blank, like she's not there, if you just glance a her. But if you look close enough, you can see she's hiding a smile.

We go back to watching the rest of the movie, and it doesn't take long for y/n to fall asleep on my chest. She looks so peaceful, it's adorable. I want to finish the movie, but my eyes start to get heavy and soon enough I find myself sleeping as well.

When I wake up in the morning, y/n wasn't there. I squint my eyes and look around to see her on the couch, still sleeping. I guess she moved in the middle of the night. Rolling over onto my side, I can see Carter is still sleeping as well. The clock by my bed says "8:14" which explains why everyone is still asleep. I decide to lay back and think about yesterday. It's safe to say that yesterday was the best day of my life. Y/n is seriously the perfect girl for me. I don't want college to ever end. "I love you, y/n," I whisper before closing my eyes again.

**Your POV**

I'm not actually asleep. I've been up since 7:56, trying to get back to sleep. I heard Matt get up, but I pretended to be asleep because I want him to go back to sleep. He has a big day today, and he was up late last night. I know if he saw me up, he would get up too. So, I pretended to be asleep which means I heard Matt talking to himself. I'm holding back my smile right now, and it's honestly taking all my might. He makes me really happy.

All of a sudden, I hear an extremely over exaggerated yawn.

"Gooooood morning everyone. Your king has awakened."

Carter.

"Shut the hell up, Carter. You're gonna wake-"

Matt stops. Carter doesn't know about me. I hear him gasp as he sees me on the couch.

"Dude, you brought a girl home and didn't even tell me?"

Matt laughs a little. "Bro, you fell asleep 5 seconds after we got here. How was I supposed to tell you?"

"Wake me up or something! It's a girl for fucks sake!" I let out a giggle. I couldn't help it.

"Shit dude..." Carter says.

"Y/n?" Matt asks.

"Yes?" I ask, smiling.

"Crap... How long have you been awake?"

"Oh, you know..." I look at the clock that now says 8:42. "Almost an hour," I respond.

"So you were fake sleeping?" Matt asks, and I nod. "And you heard everything?"

I giggle as I keep nodding. My giggling turns into full on cracking up, which makes Carter start laughing too. Matt's cheeks turn bright red.

"Awh, is wittle Matt embawwessed?" Carter says, before cracking up even more.

"Shut up Carter!" Matt says before punching Carter's shoulder lightly.

"Okay, okay. So, introduce me," Carter says as his laughter dies down.

"Carter y/n, y/n Carter." Matt sounds and looks pissed.

"Dude c'mon," Carter says.

"What?"

"I want details!" Carter seems like a good friend, always interested in Matt and always having his back.

"I was in a classroom, the teacher called me over, she introduced me to y/n, we talked, I asked her if she wanted to do something later, we went to the beach, then came back here. That enough for you?" Matt still sounds frustrated.

"Good enough. Never thought your teacher would be the one to set you up with your second girlfriend, did you?" Carter said. I could tell he was pushing it. Matt didn't wanna talk.

"Here, Carter, come with me. I'll give you the details. Matt go ahead and get ready." I say. Carter shrugs and throws on some shorts and a t-shirt before walking towards the door. I look over at Matt as he mouths the words "thank you". I smile as I give him a hug and leave.

**Matt's POV**

Carter is pissing me off. I should've seen this coming, Carter always does this. But I guess I was too starstruck to see it coming.  Thank God y/n caught on. I don't think I could've spent another second with Carter talking to me. I owe her.

After I get ready, I pull out my phone to call y/n.

"Yes?" she answers.

"Hey, where are you guys?" I ask.

"We grabbed some breakfast and Carter is currently hiding behind a tree because he's scared he'll get mobbed." Yep. Sounds like Carter.

"Alright. Mind if I come out?" I ask.

"Sure, come on out."

I throw on some shoes and head out of the room. I walk out to see no one is outside yet except for y/n and Carter.

I look over to see Carter still behind the tree, even though there's no one outside. I shake my head and look over at y/n.

"Sorry bout him," I say.

"Eh, no problem. He kinda reminds me of Forrest," she says, causing me to burst out laughing.

"Alright. Do you need to go to your room to get changed?" I ask y/n.

"Yeah. I'll be back out in a couple of minutes."

I watch her as she runs towards her dorm. I'm lucky, I really am.

Authors Note: Ok, so this whole "Y/n" thing is getting kind of annoying and confusing. I am going to change it to an actual name. any suggestions? New update soon I promise!
