Cas

Cas looked next to him on the seat to see a small Polaroid. He picked it up and examined it. He looked at Dean judgingly. "Really? A Polaroid? Who even uses these anymore?"

"Shut up, it's great," Dean defended. He snatched the camera and hung it from his neck while keeping one hand on the wheel.

"'Kay then..." He fidgeted with his thumbs. "So...where are we going?" Cas looked out the window at the cars zooming by.

"Do you want me to drop you off wherever you live?" Dean suggested. Cas looked back at him. He stopped to think. Do I really want to go back to my apartment all my myself? What if the robber knows where I live? The chances of that are unlikely, but still...

"I don't know..." Cas hesitated. How do I ask him if I can stay over his place for the night because I'm scared without sounding like a baby? "I don't want to be alone..."

"Do you wanna crash at my place?" Dean blurted. Cas swore he could see the faintest blush on his face.

"Yeah, if it's not too much trouble."

"No problem."

Cas relaxed into the seat of the car and stared back out the window. I'm going to Dean's house...Just hours ago I was crushing on him from afar, now I'm in his car—my favorite car, on the way to his house. I guess I can thank the robber.

Dean

Dean was panicking silently in his head. Why did I say that? I don't even really know Cas that much and I'm inviting him over to my apartment?! ...
Dean unlocked the door and opened it. He walked inside and Cas followed, closing the door behind him. Cas looked around, taking in his new surroundings. He nodded in approval. The sun set a while ago, so they were both pretty tired after such a crazy day.

"There's a guest bedroom you can sleep in and I can give you some clothes to sleep in for the night." Dean guided Cas to the guest bedroom.

"Really, if it's too much trouble I can just go back."

"No," Dean interrupted, "I insist you stay here. For your own safety."

Cas sighed. "Alright."

Cas went into the guest bedroom while Dean went to his room. Dean searched through his drawers to find a shirt that looked like it would fit Cas. There's not much here... He eventually decided on giving him an old AC/DC shirt that he hasn't worn in a while and sweatpants. He walked into the guest room.

"Hey, I found this shirt, it might fit you, I don't know. And these pants." Dean handed the shirt and pants to Cas. Cas took them shirt held the shirt up to see the design.

Cas raised an eyebrow and looked at confusedly Dean. "AC/DC?"

"I thought they were a rockin' band a couple years ago," Dean explained. Cas shrugged. "I'll let you get changed. When you're done, you can hand me your clothes and I can put them in the wash if you want?"

"Uh, sure," Cas agreed. "Thanks." Dean walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. He walked into the kitchen to get a snack. He picked up an apple and took a bite. That's when it hit him. He quit his job. How was he going to pay the bills? What else can he do for a job? I'll have to look for another photography job... Just not one where I have to photograph snotty models. He scrunched his nose.

He took another bite of the apple when he heard the door open. Cas walked out of the guest room. The shirt Dean gave him was about two sizes too big for him and hung to mid-thigh, and the sweatpants acted like socks. They covered his feet so much he was walking on them. Dean almost choked on his apple and had to stifle his laughter.

Cas walked over to him holding his clothes that he had been wearing previously. Dean stuck out his hands and took them. Cas looked down. "I think they're a bit too big..."

Dean couldn't hold it back anymore. He started bursting out in laughter. "You think?" He held onto his knees to keep his balance. Cas blushed slightly. Dean's laughter slowly subsided. "I'll put these in the washer for you." Dean walked to the washer room and put Cas's clothes in the washer. When he was done, he walked back to the kitchen where Cas was waiting.

"Do you want anything for a snack before bed? An apple? Something to drink?" Dean asked, taking another bite of his apple.

Cas thought for a moment. "I'll have some milk, please."

"You got it!" Dean went to the fridge and took out the carton of milk. He got out a glass and poured the milk into it. He handed it to Cas. Cas took a long sip.

Dean yawned. "Alright. I'm done for the day. When you're done that, just put it in the sink. Goodnight."

"Okay. Goodnight, Dean."

Dean walked back to his room and crawled into bed. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep.

Cas

Cas quickly finished the glass of milk and placed it in the sink. He went back to the guest room and fell asleep.
...
Cas woke up the next day around 9:00. He smelled something cooking. He got out of bed and went into the kitchen to find Dean making pancakes.

Dean looked over at Cas. "'Mornin', Sunshine!"

Cas rubbed his eyes. "Good morning."

"I'm making pancakes for breakfast," Dean announced.

Cas smiled. "I can see that." Cas was going to object but there wouldn't be any point since he was already making them.
Cas sat down at the island in the kitchen.

"Your clothes are in the dryer, they're almost done," Dean informed.

"Cool. What time are you taking me home?" Cas asked.

Dean smirked. "You ready to leave me already? I'm hurt!"

"No! It's not like that, I was just wondering...," Cas stammered.

Dean chuckled. "I'm kidding. I'll drop you off at your house after we eat breakfast and when your clothes are done in the dryer." He flipped the pancakes.

"Ok."
...
When the pancakes were done, Dean got them both plates and gave them both two. Cas put syrup on his and took a bite. It was delicious! Dean really knows how to make pancakes!

"This is really good!" Cas complimented.

"Thanks, Cas."

When they finished eating, Dean retrieved Cas's clothes from the dryer. "All done! Here." He gave Cas his clothes back. Cas took them as went to the guest room to change. He came out in his work clothes and was carrying Dean's clothes that he had been wearing.

He gave the clothes to Dean. "Thank you. For everything, really. You saved my life yesterday, thank you for the breakfast and the clothes and the breakfast and the."

"It's fine," Dean interrupted. "Now let's get you home." He put the clothes on his bed and they left.

They pulled up to Cas's house after a little while. "This is it. Bye, Cas."

"Goodbye, Dean." Cas got out of the car and waved. "I hope I see you again!"

"You too." Cas shut the door and walked to his house door and walked inside. Now that Cas is gone, Dean feels like there's something that's missing...
