Cas
Cas dropped the woman's phone number into the garbage can. The store was pretty empty and he was the only one who worked at the Gas n' Sip. His thoughts drifted back to the stranger. Why does this man keep popping up in my mind? I mean, he was pretty cute...and he had nice green eyes. I wonder if I'll ever see him again.
Cas heard the bells that jingled when someone walked into the store. He looked up and his heart sank. The person who walked through the door was a person wearing a black jacket with their hood up and dark sunglasses to cover their face. They ran in through the door as if they were in a hurry. They held up a handgun and pointed it at Cas. Cas swore he had a heart attack. The room was spinning and he felt light headed. He had never had a gun pointed at him let alone be in the middle of a robbery!
"Put your hands up!" The robber had a deep voice so Cas assumed he was a man. The gun was steady in his hand. Cas quickly put his hands up in surrender. He didn't want to risk getting shot. He listened for his next order.
"Good. Now, step out from behind the counter!" he ordered. Cas slowly followed the order. The gun followed him as he walked, Cas never looked away from the muzzle of the death machine. He couldn't help but think that at any time the man could pull the trigger and his life would be over. Dead. Gone. No more. It scared the crap out of him.
Dean
Dean parked the Impala in the parking lot of the gas station. He hung his Polaroid around his neck and locked the car. That's when he heard shouting. What's going on?
He walked up to the glass doors and saw a hooded figure pointing a gun at Cas. What?!? The hooded figure grabbed onto Cas's arm and yelled at him to lay on the ground. Cas's obeyed. Why isn't he even attempting to fight back? Dean walked away from the store and called the police.
After the call, he was about to walk into the store to help Cas, but then realization hit him. He was about to walk into a store that is in the process of being robbed unarmed and nothing to use for defense. Oh well. I'm also about to probably save someone's life today.
He looked up at the bells hanging from the top of the door. If he just opened the door, the bells would ring and he could risk getting shot on the spot. He reached between a small crack in the door and grabbed the bells while trying his hardest not to make a sound. Now that the bells wouldn't give him away, Dean safely stuck into the gas station behind the burglar.
Dean looked over at Cas as he slowly walked out from his position behind the counter. Cas couldn't see him.
"Now, get on the ground!" the shooter man commanded to Cas. Cas obeyed and was now lying a couple inches from the burglar's feet. I'm sure he's scared to death...
Cas
Cas was scared to death! He wished he had the courage to stand up for himself, but he was too scared. What if as soon as I say something, he shoots me? What if I'm a second too late in doing what he said and he puts a bullet in my head?! If I die, what will my family do? All these thoughts were racing through his head as he laid on the ground with his hands behind his head.
"Now stay there while I get this over wi-. Hey!" The burglar was interrupted by something. Cas couldn't see what was going on behind him, but he heard a voice he recognized.
"Well, that plan tanked."
Is that who I think it is? No, it can't be...
Whoever was just talking was thrown onto the floor beside Cas. "Alright! Easy, man..."
Cas looked to his left at the person who tried to stop the burglar. Now way... It's the guy from earlier! With the Impala! Why is he here? Who is he?...The guy looked at Cas. "Hey! Besides the robbery that we're both currently stuck in the middle of, how are you?"
Cas couldn't help but crack a smile. He was confused though. How can he joke in a situation like this? The robber kicked him in the ribs and he flinched. "Shut up."
The robber walked over to the cash register and opened it. He started grabbing bills and shoving them into his pockets.
"Psst."
Cas looked at the man next to him. Whoa... Being so close to him, Cas could see all his facial features up close. His eyes were candy apple green and he had freckles that were scattered across his nose. Cas tried counting them. One...two...three...
"Why are you staring at me like that?" he whispered. Cas snapped out of his daze. "Anyway, I think I have a plan."
"What is it?" Cas whispered back.
"When he's not paying attention, we can sneak out the door and bolt for my car."
"But what if he hears us?"
"I took the bells off the door."
"Are we just going to leave him here to rob the store?"
"I called the police before I came in here."
"Okay."
"On three." He looked at the robber. His gun was sitting on the counter as he continued to take the cash. "One...two..." They were hesitant, but that didn't stop either of them from wanting to get out of that store as fast as possible. "Three."
They slowly got to their feet, then bolted for the door.
"Hey!" The robber grabbed his gun and attempted at shooting them, but his aim was off and he missed.
Both of them quickly jumped into the car. The robber ran out of the store and tried to shoot them, but they left before any shots could get them. As they were pulling away, the cop cars came speeding into the gas station.
Cas finally had a second to realize what had just happened. "That was crazy!"
"Damn right that was crazy! We could have gotten killed!"
They both lapsed into silence for a couple seconds, catching their breath.
Cas looked at the man driving. "Who are you?"
Dean smirked. "I'm Dean Winchester; the man who saved your life."
