"Sissy no!" Says, my little sister. "Don't do this to me, please!"
"Anna, I'm going to drag you by your ear if I have too and you know I don't want to!" I say back.
"Think about me, Sissy! Nobody will like me there in that pit hole of torture!"
Yep, that's right. I'm persuading a seven-year-old girl to go to school. We are in the office of the school, next to the principal while she screams about how "the pit hole of torture" will be the death of her.
"Please do this for me, Anna, I'm going to be late because of this!"
Instead of doing what I say like I hope she would, she sat down on the floor and crossed her arms.
I sigh, I didn't want to do this but she reached my wood's end. "If you don't do as I say, you won't be getting any dessert for dinner tonight!"
I watch as her eyes grow big and she literally bounced herself to her feet in lightning speed. "Fine, let's go," she said before walking to her home room class.
I rub my temple with my hand and looked back at the principal. "I'm really sorry you had to witness that, she isn't usually like this."
She laughs, "Don't worry about it, I actually have a few kids myself that would do the same thing. I get that it will be hard for her since she is just moving in the middle of the year," she said then gave me her million dollar smile.
"Thank you so much for understanding. I have to go to my school now."
"Ok bye," she said in a cheerful voice.
I said bye back and started walking towards the exit door as I hear the principal say something quietly but I managed to hear it.
"Poor girl, having to take care of the little girl by herself."
I open the door and I whisper to myself, "I know, it sucks."

I literally sprint towards the school.
I have never run this fast well at all in months so I am pretty proud of myself. I bust open the front doors and fast walked to the office desk while the lady at the desk is staring at me like I just did something stupid. I don't blame her. I came in here like a mad man but that's not the point.
"Um... Hi, how may I help you?"
"My name is Elody, Elody Davis. I am senior and I'm new here. I need my class schedule please."
"Oh, I've been expecting you, Miss Davis," she said while she started typing on her keyboard. "Okay, so I am going to print your class schedule for you and I will also write you a pass so you won't get a tardy since you are new here." Thank god, this lady is a life saver. I really didn't want to be late on my first day and I have never gotten a tardy before too.
I hear the printer making it's printing sound as she turns around and walked towards it. The white piece of paper finally came out so she took it and handed it to me. She gave me a pass with a heart warming smile. "Thanks..."
"It's Mrs. Clora."
"Thanks, Mrs. Clora," I smile back.
"Anytime hon, better goes now before you miss some great information," she said putting emphasis on 'great'.
"Right, bye!" I said before scurrying down the hall to my locker and first class. Calculus, yippee, note the sarcasm.

I walk into Mr. Palmer's calculus class as I feel a lot of people's eyes on me. Mr. Palmer stopped teaching his lesson as he stared back at me too. "Who are you!" Someone in the crowd of teenagers yelled and some people giggle.
"Well, hello Elody, a bit late aren't you?"
"Yeah sorry, I have a pass." I walked towards him and handed him the pass as I squeeze my notebook, book, iPad, and pencil pouch in my arms.
"Very well darling. Class, this is our new student Elody Davis. Please welcome her sweetly like I have discussed before." Great, they have been talking about me before. Just what I wanted.
I look towards the class as I see their eyes scan my body. MR. Palmer faced towards me, "Would you like to introduce yourself? Maybe just say a couple things about yourself?"
"Uh well, my name is Elody but you already know that. I moved here from Princeton Academy and I would really appreciate it if you don't talk shit about me behind my back, thanks," I say in a bored tone.
The teacher didn't seem to be taken back by my profanity which is probably because it's said a lot here. Some kids snort or giggle. I walk towards an empty seat and plopped my things down.
"Ok, let's carry on with our lesson shall we?"
We shall.
"First let's start with the six trigonometry functions and how they relate to each other. Recall as well that all the trig functions can be defined in terms of a right triangle. From this right triangle, we get the following definitions of the six trig functions." Mr. Palmer said as he pointed towards the projection screen.
I open my notebook and grabbed a pencil from my pouch. I start writing these notes down as I still feel some people's gaze on me. For a second, I look around at the people that are staring and mouthed the words 'what'. They quickly looked away when they saw me looking back at them and I also notice that some kids are either sleeping or on their phones.
This is definitely different from what I am used to at Princeton. Probably because Princeton is a private school whereas Rhombus High is public.
I look back at my notes and write more things down as Mr. Palmer speaks but I still feel like there is someone watching me.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
How was that for the first chapter?
I know I was going to start the book later but I was too anxious and excited so here it is! For now, there won't be an uploading schedule since I don't even follow my own for my other books. So that means I will just be uploading here whenever I want to.
For everyone that didn't read the summary, Elody isn't a good girl. Well, kind of is but kind of isn't. She cares about her grades but not about people other than her sister.
By the way, Tanner will be in the next chapter so calm yourselves. Just kidding I love you guys. ☺︎
