10. Catching Up

It's the next day and I'm helping Thomas move in. It's nice to be with a family member again, especially Thomas, he was always looking out for me. We finish putting the last box in his new room and sit on the couch.

"That was tiring." I giggle softly.

"I know right." He chuckles.

"Thomas?"

"Yes, (Y/n)?"

"Why did you ever leave?" I watch as his face falls.

"Because I had to."

"What do you mean?" I tilt my head.

"You don't remember?" I shake my head.

"Dad kicked me out cause I hit him." He sighs.

"Why did you hit him?"

"He hit you with a beer bottle." Then I remember that night. My dad was mad at me for coming home late when I was 20. He always treated me like a child. I fussed at him and he hit me. That was the last thing I remembered.

"He kicked you out? He lied to me." I look down.

"What did he say?"

"He said you left cause you were sick of this family."

"Of course not! I was only sick of him!" He defended.

"I'm so sorry, Thomas."

"Don't be sorry, (Y/n)." He hugs me.

"I should have stopped him from doing that." I say, hugging back.

"(Y/n), you were knocked out, there was nothing you could've done. Besides, my life actually became great." He grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.

"How come?" I ask.

"Well, I met a bunch of great friends and did vine, then once that died I started my youtube channel and now I have over 1 million subscribers."

"Whoa, that's great Thomas!" I smile.

"It just.. really sucks that mom died.. I didn't get to tell her..." He looked down.

"Tell her what?"

"... I'm gay." He looked at me again and smiled a bit.

"Really? Wow I'm so happy for you Thomas!" My eyes widen.

"You are?"

"Of course! I'm a total supporter for gay pride! The community is wonderful!"

"That's great to hear. I wish I could know how mom would react." He chuckles before frowning again.

"I'm sure she would be happy for you Thomas. When did you come out?"

"Um.. I think it was about two years after I left. I came out to my best friends Joan and Talyn. You would love them."

"I would love to meet them sometime!"

"I can call them over. Maybe we can all just chill here."

"Sounds great!"

"Okay cool, but first.."

"What?"

"How are you and Bobby doing?" I blush a little.

"We're doing fine, Thomas." I roll my eyes.

"Good, thats all I wanted to know." He got up and went to call Joan and Talyn.

~Time Skip~

We hear a knock on our door while we sit on our phones. Thomas gets up and goes to open the door.

"Hey guys!" He says and gives Joan and Talyn a big hug.

"Come on I want to introduce you to someone!" He says and walks them over to where I am.

"Guys this is my little sister, (Y/n)."

"Oh my god! Hi I'm Talyn!" Talyn runs up and gives me a hug.

"Its nice to meet you Talyn!" I hug back cheerfully.

"And this is my boyfriend Joan." She points to Joan.

"You guys are dating? That's so cute!" I say.

"Thank you. Its nice to meet ya, (Y/n)." Joan says putting his hand out for a handshake. I just go in for a hug instead.

"Now how about we have some fun?" Thomas asks. We all yell "Woohoo!"
