I'm stuck. I can't move. I'm kneeling in the middle of the floor, surrounded by darkness. I look around screaming out for help, but nothing comes out. It's just empty screams. I just look around to see a man standing in the distance. I squint to see who it is, but all I can make out... Is... Is... The metal arm. The infamous metal arm and red star. He starts to walk towards me but he stops as we hear a scream. He quickly turns around and vanishes into the darkness. Someone or something whispers my name in my ear. I quickly turn around to see my dad...just standing there. But before I can say anything, he disappears. Loud thumping and pounding echos in the distance, but I don't know what it is.

*CRASH THUMP*

I shoot up from my bed in a pool of sweat to be greeted by a man on my floor. "AHHHHHH! GET OUT OF MY ROOM! WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?! HELP!" I scream at the man. I reach out for one of my crutches in sheer panic. I point it at him incase he gets closer.

"I-it's me, Clint!" Clint slowly gets up from the floor and takes off his hoody.

"Oh my God! You scared me half to death!" I yell in relief. "But... Why are you in my room? How the heck did you do that?" I ask pulling my blanket up to my arms.

"I travel through the vents." Clint says simply.

I open my mouth to say something but I'm interrupted by my door slamming open.

"Y/N! Are you alright?! J.A.R.V.I.S alerted us all that you had yelled for help!" Tony bursts in with Natasha, Steve, and Bruce following him.

"Yeah... I'm fine. Just turned out to be Clint. He was traveling through the vents like a weirdo and fell through mine. Scared the absolute shit out of me." I explain myself and I wrap my blanket around myself. I felt very exposed all of a sudden.

"God dammit Clint." Tony just rubs his brow.

"I'm sorry. My fault. But you should fix that vent. It's not very sturdy." Clint raises his hands as his leaves. Everyone, except Tony, follows. Tony walks over to me instead.

"I mean I did warn you about him traveling in the vents." He chuckles and so do I.

"You did. So anyway. What do you have that I can make for breakfast?" I ask Tony as my stomach growls.

"Well, we were actually making breakfast when you yelled help. Steve is making waffles, bacon, and cheesy scrambled eggs. They'll be done soon. Just head to the lounge on floor 23. It's where we were last night." He walks away to the door and closes it as he leaves.

I fling off my comforter and I swing my legs over the side of the bed. I rub my eyes as I just sit there. All I can think about is my nightmare from last night. It seemed so real.

I shake it off and get out of bed. I hobble over to my dirty clothes from the corner and pick them up. I chuck them into the laundry basket in the other corner. I grab a comfy sweatshirt, leggings, and my slippers. I change into that and put my hair into a messy bun.

When I put my feet into my slippers I feel something weird. I  pull it out and it turns out to be the locket that my mom gave me right before she died. (BFF/N) knows how much this means to me and must've put it in here to keep it safe. How the heck she noticed I didn't have it on is besides me. I start to remember all the good times my mom and I had before she died. Before I can get too deep into thought, I remember the people waiting for me. I quickly put my locket on and put on white fuzzy socks instead. I quickly touched up my eyebrows and put mascara on just so I would look at least decent. I look pretty damn terrifying in the morning.

I grab my phone and my crutches and head downstairs. I hobble over to the elevator and press floor 23. I get in and brace myself for the awkwardness. It feels like eternity before I reach floor 23 when it was only like, 30 seconds. The doors open and I walk out as graciously as possible. Tony walks over to introduce me to everyone.
