Mizuki's POV

I jolted awake from my nightmare with pain in my eyes. I tried to look around but it was like my eyes couldn't focus. The blurred images of black and white walls of my room. I could make out what appeared to be my living room but that didn't make sense since I was in my room.

I got out of bed and tried to walk but it was like everything was moving in slow motion. A sharp pain filled my eyes when I tried to focus my sight causing me to clutch my head as I closed my eyes. I didn't know what was going on but I tried to keep calm. Eventually, when the pain subsided, I slowly opened my eyes to see that everything was back to normal. Sighing in relief, I looked over at the clock to see that there was still an hour left before school started. I decided to take a cold shower to wake up. I changed into a white high collar crop zip-up shirt with a black tank top underneath, paired with navy blue capris. My clan crest on the back of my shirt.

I noticed my feet had new baby pink skin where it was burned-slashed-peeled. I applied the ointment given to me to my feet before wrapping them in new bandages. I slipped on my sandals and made sure I had my keys and some money in my pocket before leaving the house.

I wandered around the village taking my time to get to the academy when I saw my family's crest in a sign: The Uchiha Compound. I felt myself get excited as I rushed forward. Had I finally found Papa? Family? I go under the tape thing and looked around. As I walked further in, I noticed that it was quiet and... deserted.

Where was everyone? Why was it so quiet? Did everyone leave?

Confused and upset, I decided to leave. It was so deserted and obvious that no one was living here anymore. I turned around to leave and barely took a few steps towards the exit when someone suddenly yelled from behind me.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here?" I flinched as I looked over my shoulder to see a raven-haired boy with a black long-sleeved high collared shirt and grey shorts. He had the most annoyed and angry expression that I freaked out and ran away and out of the compound. I hoped he didn't get a good look at me. He looked sort of familiar but I know for a fact that I have never met him before. I tried to rake my brain to make sure as I ran to the academy.

Once I got there, I heaved a sigh as I took a couple of moments to compose myself. I looked around, I have never been to school before. It was almost nerve-wracking. I slowly made my way down the hall to the classroom. The closer I got, the more nervous I became. I could feel my muscles tensing up. I tried to take calming breaths but I was freaking out, this will be the first time I'm surrounded by people around my own age and I wasn't sure how they would react to me. When I got to the door, I barely managed to take a steady breath before knocking. I could hear voices and someone telling the class to be quiet. I could feel my nerves going crazy again as I waited outside. I put on the best straight face I could muster and walked in once I heard the order to come in.

I could feel everyone's stares on me but I refused to look over at them as I walked up to the instructor. He has a scar across his nose.

"I'm Iruka, your homeroom teacher. Please introduce yourself to the class," he said with a kind smile that I felt myself relax a bit.

I faced the class and noticed that no one was speaking and was just waiting for me to say something. I felt my cheeks flare up as I tried to keep a straight face.

"M-My name is Mizuki Uchiha." I tried to look around at everyone but I couldn't meet everyone's eyes. I noticed that everyone was muttering among themselves. Almost surprised for some reason. Was it something I said? I looked around again and noticed a familiar blonde boy who also widened his eyes and grinned big before he shouted.
